Let me start out by saying the show itself was amazing, the performers were amazing, I had a great time with the show itself. However, the theater's ADA accessibility is a HUGE issue. I use a Rollator as a mobility aid. When we arrived the first employee at the door told us that we would be able to 'park it ' (not sure if she meant just the rollator itself or us with it) in the ADA section and that the employee in the theater would be able to help us further. Once we reached that employee and told her the situation, she said "No, you'll need to leave it outside." When I asked about an ADA accessible spot, she pointed to a spot that should have been able to accommodate wheelchairs but was now full of folding chairs that they had added and she said that there was no room there because they had sold out the show. I insisted that they needed to keep that open for those needing ADA accommodations by law, and she got very rude and said "There's nothing I can do, we're sold out. You need to bring it outside." Not wanting to hold up the line in the very skinny aisle any further, my partner struggled to get the rollator back up the aisle and outside while I had to limp up the stairs to my assigned seat. A bit later, a guest in an actual wheelchair arrived and they ended up making him sit in the aisle (again, a skinny aisle about a person and a half wide - certainly against any fire code I've ever known). Again, the show itself was great but the theater needs to do MUCH better about ADA accommodations. I was very...
Read moreI was surprised at the quality of this production. I shouldn't have been, but I was. Las Vegas is full of talented, beautiful performers, and they're all competing for jobs. So it shouldn't be surprising that talented dancers with gorgeous bodies are willing (maybe eager?) to be showcased in a production called Zombie Burlesque.
The name leads you to believe that it will be a B-level production. The very fact that the zombie gimmick is used makes you think it couldn't compete with the more traditional burlesque shows, but I found the opposite to be true. Working within the theme gives the performers a chance to hone their acts toward a common topic and brings cohesion to the show.
The emcee is a great singer with superb comic timing. His improv skills are outstanding, and his interaction with the audience is hilarious. The chanteuse has a gorgeous voice and is truly lovely. The ballet act is beautiful and poignant and gives a welcome break from the fast-paced, but equally entertaining, acts.
The breakout "WOW" moment, though, was the juggler. I think I counted seven balls at one time. This guy spins, tumbles, balances balls all over himself, swaps clubs for balls by tossing them up with his feet -- and I didn't see a single slip-up. There were multiple spontaneous applause breaks during his act.
Surprisingly entertaining. Filled with talent and eye candy. Affordable. Lots of great reasons to enjoy this show that's a little bit naughty and filled with a wonderful variety of...
Read moreMy fiancé and I had the opportunity to attend one show during our weekend trip to Las Vegas from lower Alabama. I happily selected the Zombie Burlesque out of all the others, and looked forward to attending my first Las Vegas show. We were lucky enough to have front row seats to your Thursday night showing.
I have to say it was a beautiful performance funny, amazing music, full of talent, and I love how quaint and intimate the theater is. I however do not appreciate how blatantly rude the host was. He pin pointed members of your audience and publicly made fun of them, over and over. For the clothes they wore, for their size, etc etc. This is unprofessional and distasteful to welcome your guest in this way. We are there, excited to see you, support you, your hard work and talent, and you make fun of your support?
My fiancé is a Military officer of 24 years, never in my life have I ever seen him so publicly called out multiple times and disrespected for the sake of comedy? Making fun of people is not comedy.
