Very pleased with my stay.
I'm currently 8 months pregnant and wanted a little Las Vegas fun before this baby comes out. I didn't want to be in crowds, spend too much money, quiet, and wanted to relax a bit. I wasn't going to drink, so staying on the strip wasn't a priority. This was a perfect stay off the strip but not too far from the strip.
I opted to stay in the 1 bedroom option at the hotel. My boyfriend snores, so having the option of a sofa bed in another room was perfect! However, the hotel doesn't provide sheets, pillows or extra pillows for the sofa bed. 😑 Kind of defeats the purpose. Luckily, I brought ear plugs. The bed quality, sheets, pillows were adequate for my pregnant body. I would have preferred the AC to go below 65 degrees, as my body is producing more heat right now. By mornings, I had just a bed sheet, as anything more was too hot to sleep.
I loved that I didn't really hear people running, walking, talking down the hallways as I sat in my room.
The breakfasts were adequate. Eggs, sausage, potatoes or quiche, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal (toppings), cereal, bagels, muffins, English muffins and white bread (jams and other spreads). Orange and apple juice. Milk (chocolate) cartons. And coffee for on the go. Yes, I even brought some food back to the room to eat later since I'm always hungry. Mildly impressed with the breakfast compared to some others. The dining room was big enough to find seating immediately (during late April). One of the main reasons why I choose this spot!
The front desk persons were great. Helpful when needed, but didn't need much help.
The first night I was there I took a shower, and the shower looked clogged. Water wasn't going down. But any other shower after that, the water was not clogged. Maybe the room wasn't used in a while? Who knows, but wasn't an issue.
The toilet ran the entire time. I hope they catch it!
I loved having a fridge and freezer. We brought road trip snacks and the ice packs needed to stay frozen for the road trip back home. We also kept all our drinks in the fridge for our stay. One of the reason why I chose this hotel, along with the microwave. Most places don't offer these!
The pool was clean and quiet! Exactly what I wanted for some time in the sun. Not a very big pool, but there was only 3 people there when I got there, and was the last person there when I left. Was there for an hour.
I did enjoy being close to Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Habit Bugers, and Panera... great little options for a little lunch or dinner without breaking the bank.
Overall, pleasantly surprised at my stay. Would stay again and recommend for those looking for a less crazy spot to...
Read moreThis is a very nice hotel, a few blocks off the strip behind the Flamingo. The hotel was very clean and modern. Our 2 bedroom suite was amazing. We were two women who had a few issues with safety, walking to our cars on our own. Although this hotel is in a good area (Hughes Park) which is surrounded by nice restaurants and offices, we were approached twice by homeless people. But, this is a problem it seems surrounding this whole area including the Strip. We wouldn't walk to the Strip by ourselves, luckily we had a car. Large groups, or men should be fine. The Breakfast in the morning was very very good. Everything foodstuff and beverage we could have wanted. The Staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and welcoming, promptly replenishing items and cleaning. The breakfast potatoes with red peppers and sausage was amazing!! Good job to them. One issue, this hotel is suffering from a sulfur smell in the area, and it came into our room and the linens just a little. It didn't annoy me too much, but did my suite mate who has a very sensitive nose. She had to open her window at night, which caused a major wind tunnel draft flowing into the 2nd br where I was. It actually made the doors whistle! We did notice this smell driving through the parkway also by some restaurants, so it's not just the hotel. The Hotel Manager apologized and refunded one nights room rate for us. She was very nice and explained how they are trying to rectify this problem. Our 2bdr suite was beautiful, clean and modern. We had 3 large flat screen TV's in our 2br suite, although the TV channels were very limited with awful reception. CNN, MSNBC, FOX all analog stations. Very few HD channels. We mentioned this to the front desk staff in the morning, who couldn't answer if they had a dish or a cable network and seemed surprised by our complaint. The 2 computer business center is way off the lobby, stuck in a little room, away from everyone. You are looking at a wall, and the chairs in there were too high for my legs. They need to move this center out by the lobby area, where you don't feel so claustrophobic. Plus, the internet was very very slow. Google maps, wouldn't even come on either of the 2 computers. Pool area very small, and you should eliminate the tennis court which would open up the lounging area better. Other than that, we did...
Read moreThis was the absolute best place to stay off-strip bit still close enough to walk! We didn't have the hustle and bustle of Strip traffic or crowds, which was a huge plus.
We stayed at this hotel for six nights & we enjoyed it so much!
We chose the queen room with pullout bed for our family of 3, two adults and a preschooler. It worked out perfectly! We had a fully equipped kitchenette, complete with full size refrigerator, a small dishwasher and stove (mini, only one burner). Also provided was a microwave, dishes, silverware, pots & pans, paper towel, dishwasher detergent & coffee maker. We did have to purchase a few small items, such as dish soap (for some not-dishwasher-safe items we brought for our kiddo), but it may have been provided had we asked.
Both beds were extremely comfortable, surprisingly enough the pullout bed was great! I slept well every single night.
Make sure to at least ask for a higher up, strip view room if possible! We were lucky enough to snag one of those rooms & let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Such a beautiful view of both The Strip and McCarran International Airport, absolutely wonderful! Luckily, the hotel wasn't anywhere near capacity or we would have had to pay the actual rate of the strip-view hotel room, which was a bit higher than we paid.
We indulged in the complimentary breakfast each Morning, with both hot and cold it's available. We all really enjoyed it. There was always something good to eat. Also, on Mondays thru Wednesdays they have dinner & a mixer in their dining area. The week we stayed, they offered a chili night, Burger night & food truck night. We went to the burger night and we were pleasantly impressed. They also provided beer, wine and sangria to the adults - complimentary! Large Jenga & Connect 4 games were set up nightly for people to play - our kiddo really enjoyed these!
The staff were ALL extremely friendly and accommodating. Always greetings us upon return to the hotel, saying hello as we passed by, etc. The housekeeping staff were phenomenal! High praise to them! The dining staff always made a point to chat and tell us to have a great day. Wonderful customer service!
Overall, a wonderful place to stay with or without children if you would prefer not to stay directly on The Strip. I would definitely stay here again on...
