Last night I had a bit if a "fashion emergency" at work. My zipper had popped off it's rail leaving me not only vulnerable but also in a compromising position in front of my colleagues. Since I am of a larger size, finding a mid workday replacement is not only difficult but can be sometimes impossible. Luckily for me I work just up the road from a DXL location. I called ahead and spoke to Priscilla, explained my situation, then gave my size and style I was looking for. Within seconds she was on the hunt for a new pair of pants for me so I could come in, try them on, pay for them, and walk out. Our phone call was cut short due to the elevator at my work but I was on my way. When I arrived, Priscilla had gone and checked, with a couple of pairs available for to look at. However, another customer had come in so she was helping them out. That's when Roger stepped up to the plate to continue the hunt for a new pair of pants with me following close behind. I was looking for a certain styling and feel, which he understood and was patient with me while he was suggesting alternatives. While the customer Priscilla was working with was taking a look at some of the options you have in the store, Roger and her went back and forth on some of the availability of your offerings double checking and working diligently as I was on a time table to be back in my office. Finally a replacement was found that was not only suitable but was, in my opinion, of better quality and feel then the pair that had broken down on me. Knowing that I needed to walk out in the new pair, Priscilla worked with me (after I had already paid) to get all markings, tags, and security devices off of my person.
I just would like to say that Priscilla and Roger at your Las Vegas location are amazing! They made me feel welcomed, they helped me in my time of need, and are a true testament to your mission...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn a word? RUDE. The short hispanic male Jorge (George?) there is exactly that. The ladies are quite nice but Jorge, who clearly fancies himself a manager of sorts, is incredibly rude. We just left there 5 minutes ago and we were in and out in 2 minutes.
We walked in, happy and looking to price out a formal-ish outfit for my hubby for my office Christmas party in Dec. I told Jorge this. The SECOND I said what we needed, and the date, and that we needed him measured (but that we weren't ready to buy tonight) Jorge looked at me, without us looking at a single item and declared, "$500 bucks!" I said, "you're joking right? For pants, shirt, tie, vest and shoes? $500?!" Jorge, feeling every ounce of "You aren't spending $ tonight so Im not about to help you!" he could muster, looked at me and smugly said, "Yep!"
Not one word about "let me help you find just the right pieces to meet your needs" or anything even close to that.
It was totally the Big and Tall male version of the Rodeo Drive Dress Shop scene in Pretty Woman.
Guess what Jorge. I have an amazing job with an amazing company, and I make more than enough to buy your $500 worth of indonesian fake fashion, but you'll never see us again. You saw us in our jeans and tshirts and judged us on that. You were incredibly rude and just plain unpleasant. We will NEVER set foot in that store again. No wonder your store parking lot is always empty. I can promise you my car will never be parked...

We were in Las Vegas on our family vacation and needed to get my oldest an outfit for a dinner so I didnāt have access to my email to locate my coupons. My sales person was not happy about me asking her to call customer service to search for a coupon. She kept going back&forth w/me like she didnāt understand my request however I believe she just didnāt want to do it. When I explained to her that my hometown store in St Louis does it all the time for me she then made the call. While on hold another associate took over our sale because it apparently was time for the initial salesperson to clock out. After about 20mins the new salesperson was given the coupon code I had for $30 off. This may not seem like a huge deal to them but I appreciate my couponās. It took my balance from $189 to $159!! The salesperson went on to tell me that they are the biggest store in the franchise and donāt usually have time to make calls like the one I had asked her to do so thatās why I got the push backs. I thanked her for their efforts. I wonder if DXL realizes that their largest store in the franchise(Las Vegas) has initiated a subpar customer service experience, which is a total opposite from what I receive at my hometown smaller store in St Louis,MO (Brentwood)?
