I saw an ad on my insta feed for this donut shop (I clearly look at a lot of food posts- don't judge me). Decided to stop by early in the morning because I figured earlier donuts = fresher donuts BUT that's not the case with duck donuts bc all their donuts are made to order! (If you're in a rush, this isn't the place for you).
It was my first time ordering and the staff wasn't the best in terms of making the ordering process easier. She didn't explain the donuts were made to order so I just randomly selected 6 donuts from the menu. I think they were PB&J, Sunrise (Lemon Raspberry), Blueberry Lemonade, the boardwalk, cookies and cream & raspberry fluff.
My first impressions: uhh this looks like a mess...but also wow warm donuts? This is revolutionary!! (Great in the winter, maybe not so great in the summer?) I had a bite of each donut and my favorite was the boardwalk (it was giving fried Oreo vibes) and my least favorite was the pb&j. This shop isn't for the traditional donut lover. They don't have filled donuts and you should probably eat it right away because the consistency may change once its no longer warm. Also the donuts are kind of cakey, nothing like Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme.
The BEC sandwich was OK. The donut was really soft and kind of fell apart. (Plus kinda small). Anyways will be...

I recently visited Duck Donuts in Paramus, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in a long time.
First off, the staff was incredibly unfriendly. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The employees seemed disinterested and unapproachable, and when I asked a simple question about the menu, I was met with eye rolls and curt responses. It’s baffling how a place that specializes in sweet treats can have such sour attitudes!
As for the donuts themselves, they were far from impressive. I had high hopes, but the texture was off, and they lacked the flavor I was expecting. They tasted stale and overly greasy, which completely ruined the experience. I’ve had better donuts from the grocery store!
Overall, the combination of poor customer service and subpar donuts makes it hard for me to recommend Duck Donuts in Paramus. I won't be returning anytime soon. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff is friendly and the donuts are...
Read moreI decided to try this place, but now I regret it. I walked in, was not greeted, a guy just looked at me. I saw my order sitting on the counter & looked at him & told him my name & pulled up my email confirmation & he didn't really seem to care, he just said "ok" & I left, got in my Uber & checked my order.... which of course was incorrect. I was missing a donut. So I paid almost $10 for 2 donuts. They're made to order & I was in an uber so I couldn't just come back & wait for another so I called. A young lady answered & I explained & she put me on hold with the same guy, who said to call customer service for a refund & said there's nothing else he can do. I'm disabled & oxygen dependent, it took a lot of energy to pick up that order, I was looking forward to it after my chemo treatment I had at Hackensack this morning. I'm so disappointed, I don't care if it's just $3 or just a donut. I'm so exhausted & it really ruined my morning. As for the donuts I did get, they're freshly...
