Looking for a luxury hotel in Deer Valley, Park City? ✨ The Chateaux Deer Valley is a 5/5 experience. This place is absolutely wonderful! It was easy to get to. The room was nothing short of fantastic. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself and book the 1-bedroom suite. Loved this room so much! It had 2 fireplaces, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (the stove was gas - a cook's dream!), granite countertops, and a full assortment of cooking and serving utensils, a sweet book collection, 2 Samsung flat screens and 2 bluray players, super comfy and warm faux fur blankets and pillows throughout, electronic shades and room darkening curtains, several of the windows open to let in the fresh mountain air, and it has a nice sized balcony too. It also has a whirlpool tub in the master bedroom(you can bet I took advantage of that every night!) and a full shower with a marble seat (and the water was crazy hot with a seemingly endless supply), and a washer and dryer in the room. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous inside and out with thoughtful additions/decorations everywhere throughout the room and hotel, like a chess set with 2 comfy chairs overlooking the beautiful lobby. It has a pool and hot tub too, although I did not get to use those this time around. It has a secure underground parking garage, which would be great for those visiting during snow season, as you wouldn't have to scrape off ice and/or snow from your car(I visited in late spring, so snow wasn't an issue for me).Every person on the staff that I encountered was beyond friendly and helpful! They were able to assist me with local things to see and do, including updating me on local road closures. From Cameron the manager, who helped me in changing my reservations and also ended up being there to welcome me when I checked in, to Spencer at the front desk, to the awesome bellhop, and the house keeping staff. I cannot speak highly enough of the awesome staff and great hotel. The italian restaurant on property, Cena, had a tantalizing aroma wafting from it when I was close enough to smell it. I am looking forward to trying it the next time I visit, as I will be back for sure. (You can bet I will be booking the one bedroom suite again!) This is my favorite place that I have been to yet on vacation. If you are looking for a nice drive and good hiking, go to Big Cottonwood Canyon, as was recommended to me by a couple people on staff and it did not disappoint!

The rooms were very well appointed. There was a full kitchen with just about any cooking device or other items that you would need for a long-term stay. The kitchen included a Sub-Zero refrigerator a gas stove, a dishwasher, a garbage disposal, and a microwave. It also had a blender and a Crock-Pot. There was a coffee bean grinder along with a small Keurig pot. There was also tea available and a tea kettle. The bathroom was very well lit and had a lit mirror for putting on makeup. There was also a small laundry area which included a washer and dryer with provided detergent. The dining room had a table that could accommodate six people. The living room space had a large curved couch and a coffee table. It also had a queen size bed that could be folded up into the wall if needed. There were also stairs that connected to the lower room which would allow for larger families. It also had a balcony which overlooked the courtyard. There were two hot tubs and a pool. In the courtyard there were multiple sitting areas with fireplaces and cornhole set out. The restaurant was very accommodating and the food was delicious. The stay here was for a conference. After meeting with the five different conference people to make sure that all accommodations were made for the conference, this helped mitigate a lot of the concerns that we were trying to mitigate. During the conference the people who were responsible for making sure we had everything for the conference checked on us multiple times throughout the day during the conference. This included beverage service, breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for each day. The schedule was given to the staff so that they would know when to come in and clean the room as we took breaks. Just about anything that we requested the staff were able to accommodate. The AV setup was phenomenal as well, especially since a lot of our topics were IT related. Last of all they made sure that we had plenty of power outlets for everyone to plug in their computers which was very important.

My husband and I stayed at The Chateaux Deer Valley in Park City last week for 3 days/2 nights. It was not clean. The room was decorated beautifully (European design) but the pillows were dirty and had a very strong, unpleasant odor – as if they had never been washed. (Old man smell). The smell was so strong I had to use my own pillow that I had brought in the car for travel. At least one of the Euro Shams had an obvious stain on it. The sheets and pillowcases did not smell fresh so I wondered if they had been washed. They were not rumpled but I still wasn’t sure. Other than the smell, the bed was very comfortable. The rest of the room was dirty too. The obvious places had been dusted but every time we moved anything there was a thick layer of dust behind it. The carpet had been vacuumed but it looked and felt dirty and was stained. The drapes and the shower curtain were off several of their hooks. An overhead light bulb had burned out and the room was too dark already. We did have a large window so we opened the drapes sometimes but since we overlooked the pool we often closed them for privacy.

The staff (including the receptionist/front desk personnel) did the bare minimum and were only as helpful as they had to be - except for the maintenance man who had to come replace our DVD player because it was broken. We had already trouble-shooted and he was very polite and listened to us instead of insisting on wasting our time by testing it all over again. He replaced our DVD player very quickly. The gas/electric (?) fireplace was nice and cozy but we could never get the main thermostat to work properly even after calling the front desk. The room was always too hot. We just wanted the thermosat off. We tried opening the windows to get some fresh air but one of the window cranks was broken and it wouldn’t budge. (We did get one window open.) So as a result, we did not get to use the fireplace as much as we wanted.

The Wifi was very difficult to get access to. I would not have been able to figure it out even though I’ve never had a problem in any other hotel. My husband was able to get it to work after a lot of hassle. The small fridge in the bathroom area was nice to have but it did not have a handle on the door so it was very difficult to open. It was also nice to have a microwave and some dishes. However, I didn’t really like the food area in the bathroom area but I could see there really was no other good place to put it. The workout room was great and convenient with plenty of weights, several different machines, a TV, and had bottled water, hand towels and fresh apples.

The restaurant was closed for remodeling but we knew that ahead of time. It was still inconvenient since we like to order in sometimes. The hotel still put a $75.00 hold on our credit card for such incidentals even though there were no opportunities to use incidentals. It’s been 4 days and it’s very irritating that the hold has not been dropped yet. Making a phone call to The Chateaux to resolve the matter was a waste of time. I will keep watching my account to see if I need to take further action.

We live close enough to Park City to go often but we will never stay at The Chateaux again. I’ve stayed in many quality hotels throughout the world and this was not...

I cannot say enough good things about The Chateaux Deer Valley resort and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. My friend and I are breast cancer survivors and it's been a very tough year, so we decided on the spur of the moment that we'd take a girls trip to decompress. Neither of us had stayed at The Chateaux prior, so we didn't know what to expect, but we were not disappointed. From the woman on the phone in reservations (who asked what the purpose of our trip was), to the Concierge, Temple, to Edward at the front desk, and our wait and bell staff - we could not have been treated better. In fact, they truly made us feel celebrated, supported and special! When we arrived there was a mix up with our room so we were asked to wait. We went and had a snack and a drink, enjoying the mountain air and views. When our room was ready, they informed us that they had picked up our tab, which was totally unexpected. Then the Concierge, Temple, welcomed and congratulated us on ending our breast cancer treatments and made sure we felt welcomed and seen. We were taken to our rooms and inside were treats and a personalized note signed by the staff! We went to dinner that night at the onsite restaurant Cena (delicious menu), all the staff had recommended the lobster pasta, so I tried it, my friend had a different dish, but we both had apps as well... our waitress, also congratulated us on ending treatment. However, the biggest shock came at the end of our meal when the manager of Cena came over, congratulated us as well and then told us that the meal was on them! WOW. We were speechless. They said they wanted to celebrate the end of our treatment with us - we nearly cried. We went there under the impression we were going to just chill, process and bond, but in addition we were seen and celebrated! We stayed 2 nights, breakfast was included and delicious, a great buffet selection, regularly replenished. The views are gorgeous, the grounds are lovely with fountains, fire pits and quiet areas. The pool area is very nice with food service available. Our rooms were very comfortable, great bathrooms and kitchen set up. There is also a decent gym. This hotel had all we needed, but still felt like a boutique hotel - zero complaints. The personal treatment we received was extremely touching and memorable - thank you to the staff!||Side Note: I was so elated with our experience, I took my family back 10 days later for a quick weekend break to...
