Update: 10/12/23 Finally agreed to repair phone at the Pearland location. After a diagnosis it was determined my camera needed repair, but they didn't see anything wrong with the battery charging issue. Fast forward to 10/24/23- I received and email stating my phone was ready for pickup, however I noticed it said "Unrepairable- RFP" in the comments. I call and was given some wild reasoning stating it was a motherboard issue that they can't fix. How the hell are you going to say my phone is ready for pickup when clearly it's still broken beyond the original screen repair issue. The only person who was near my motherboard and camera was you! My phone must be replaced immediately!
Background: I originally went scheduled an appointment on the 9/22/23 front screen repair of my Galaxy S22, however they had system issues and I was turned away. I returned the following Monday 5:30 PM to have the repair made. I was told it would be difficult to have it completed by the end of day because they closed at 7:00pm. I told them "no worries take your time (big mistake)" I had a backup phone and would be ok until the next day. I called in Tuesday afternoon only to find out they had NOT done the repair, some excuse about not having adequate staffing etc. I called Wednesday in the morning and afternoon the same excuse, but was promised it would be repaired by the end of the day. They called me at 6:45pm Wednesday to tell me my phone was repaired, however I was unable to pick it up in the 15 minute window before closing. I picked my phone up Thursday at 4:25pm after work. The first thing I noticed was the phone was not on, I assumed this was on purpose. I get home only to find out it had 0% battery. The phone SLOWLY charged to about 50%, I then put in my sim card and turn it on. After the phone boots up I notice its hot to touch, but it had no case on yet so I payed it no mind. I go to place it on the charger and the battery icon on the notification bar blinks and a message states the phone is "too hot to charge". I'm confused so I go to the Device Care app to run a scan, it shows I have a battery and camera issue, neither front or back cameras work now... Its a real shame that After 48hrs, $230 and 10+ reboots later my phone drains the battery like rice in a strainer and the Camera is as dysfunctional as a McDonalds ice cream machine. Read moreThis location has some of the worse customer service I ever experienced! God forbid u work all day therefore you can only arrive there 30 minutes prior to closing! THEY RUSH YOU EVERYTIME! We purchased the assurion home plus plan through this location and when it’s time to file a claim you get no assistance! I constantly get told call Assurian back I can’t do anything on my end! THEY CAN SELL THE PLAN THERE BUT CANT HELP WITH INITIATING A CLAIM OR GUIDE YOU! They tell you one thing and then assurion tells you another! It’s always back & forth! A claim was filed with the same exact info that the exact iPad was fix within 2-3 wks ago and because it was near closing Jeff said he couldn’t accept b/c a model number was incorrect. But yet you accepted it before and repaired it with the exact same info, now because it’s closing and yall are ready to go it’s a problem! the assurion rep was telling Jeff nothing needed to be updated, as the claim team has already approved it! Jeff consistently went back and forth with the rep on my phone and next thing I know my tablet has to be”shipped” he can’t accept it at the store. The only reason I had to return here was because the same iPad was recently fixed at this location for a cracked screen and assurion told me to bring it back! after it was retuned, the battery dies within a hour and the screen freezes occasionally! Associates at this location need to understand it doesn’t matter if they close at 7 but if your customer is there before the door is lock, you help them to the best of your ability no matter how long It takes but I can guarantee you they won’t rush you out when they are trying to sell something! Smh as Jeff was the one that sold me the plan and made it seem like it was so great to have but after year of paying and finally needing to file a claim, I can assure you it’s not worth it if you have to go through this and not get assisted smh then they go in the back talking about how they are frustrated with other customers and how other things are taking too long, as if current customers in the front can’t hear them. Read moreI went in to get my screen replaced since it was cracked and online it said it would be about 100 dollars for that to be done but when I got there they told me it was gonna be 150. The reason why it was so much was because they said they HAVE to add on an internal cleaning service that was 35 dollars plus all the taxes and other fees added up to 150. What got me a bit frustrated was that I had just gotten the phone last week (8/6/24) brand new from apple so that was not necessary at all which I brought up to them and they said they can’t do anything about it as they have to add that on too any iPhone they service. But other than that everything went smoothly, they got the screen fixed at the time they said they would, the phone works perfectly fine and I wouldn’t question the quality of their work. Also for any Samsung owners that come here for any service just know they seem to have a contract with Samsung that allows them to make any other kinds of repairs apart from the one you originally went there for and add it to your bill, you will have to pay for it (per Kayla they’re allowed to do this which is unbelievable). I know this because a gentleman before me in line said he’s been here before (twice) with the same exact Samsung as before and was never told this so he was dumbfounded when Kayla told him. Update: a month later after I gotten my screen replaced here my phone doesn’t work the way it used to, the screen sinks down into the phone if I press it, it triggers swipes when no one is touching the phone, my battery’s health went from 100% since it was a brand new phone to 78% which means my phone dies so much quicker, when I do want to press the screen it sometimes doesn’t trigger the press and it just starts to freak out by swiping endlessly, zooming in or just clicking stuff. This is horrible and I wouldn’t want to recommend this company to anyone and I take back what I said about the quality of their work....
