AT&T Store — Local services in Peru

Wow! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Tevin was my sales representative at the AT&T in Peru, IL and he went above and beyond the call of duty! I went on Saturday evening 07/12/2025 to see about getting a new phone and service because my Galaxy S22 Ultra broke.

Tevin ran my credit but there was some type of hold and the credit department he needed to speak with was already gone for the day, so I would have to return the next day (today). He suggested I go to Walmart and get a cheap phone so I could have something in the meantime and to get me home safely with GPS. I'm not from the area and live about a half hour away with lots of farm roads that you can get lost on, especially after sundown.

As promised, he sent me a quote for a new phone & service at a senior price this morning. It is less than what I've been paying just for service with T-Mobile. Which, I did go to T-Mobile first, but they lost this customer. They weren't helpful, a lot was out of stock, and I was deterred from some phones by the rep. Yikes!!! That's how I landed at AT&T. And I got the phone that I wanted - a Galaxy S25 Ultra!

Tevin handled the credit block and I was approved for the phone. He also transferred all of my apps, photos, contacts, text messages and data to the new phone. The bonus was being able to use my broken phone as a trade-in, which reduced my overall monthly bill.

But here is the thing - my old phone was very challenging for this young man to get everything transferred and reset it to it's original factory settings. The screen itself wasn't shattered but there was a solid gap of nothing so you couldn't see what you were doing. Some of it was guesswork and some of it pure genius thinking, and Tevin and his boss' boss, Mike, managed to get it all taken care of.

Tevin is a good listener and when he learned that I work from home, he inquired about how I connect my work laptop to the internet. He saved me money with my internet, too, so goodbye Xfinity! I also don't have to worry about internet outages because my new service includes a hot spot with 10GB.

When I tell you how patient this man was, it's no joke. He is patient, knowledgeable, personable, kind, a problem solver, and great at sales.

I hope to be a long time AT&T customer. This one just hit right.

We have been going there for more than 20+ yrs & always we have been treated nicely. They always take care of the customers. They also resolve your issues of iPhones. You get good price & good deal for all phone, tablets etc. the customer service is excellent with friendly staff like Erik Cortez, & others, who are professional people. They guide u & help u. They make sure that your phone problems are solved before you leave the store. All staff including front desk people to sale consultants & managers are great. We went into the Peru store looking to upgrade three phones on our plan. We worked with Nicole, and she was awesome! She walked us through the process, answered all our questions, and even made some suggestions on the best way to transfer all the information from the old devices to the new ones. We were there for quite some time, and she was so patient with us and treated us as if we were the only ones there, she didn't rush us at all. Thank you, Nicole, for being so great!

Before we worked with Nicole, I had stopped in the Peru store to ask a handful of questions to make sure we were as prepared as we needed to be when we went it. I unfortunately didn't catch the names of the two gentlemen that helped me, but they were both so kind, friendly, and very helpful!...
