IHOP — Restaurant in Peru

The food was good but the restaurant was disgustingly dirty. It was Thursday at 1:00 with 8 diners, including us.There was toilet paper in the entryway. I told the hostess when we walked in about it and it was still there after we finished. The bathroom stalls had garbage all over the floor and over flowing. If you can't keep the public spaces decent, what does the kitchen look like. Our waitress, Alma, was nice and the person who checked us out was nice. However, I heard multiple diners complain about incorrect orders and late orders. They are hiring so appear to be short staffed. There were 4 people on the floor plus kitchen staff. Someone could have taken 20 min to just get rid of the garbage all over.

We walked into this IHOP after a bad experience at the Dennys in Lasalle, hungry and tired from over 5 hrs on the road. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly girl who was amazing. Unfortunately i didnt get her name. She came back and got our drink order as she left, Jacob greeted us then came back with our drinks. After Dennys seeing not 1 but 2 friendly servers that knew what they were doing was wonderful. The restaurant was very clean and inviting and all of the staff we seen was very nice. Everything was amazing, these people know how to not only serve good food but how to make their customers want to come back. I can't say enough about how great Jacob was, he was even on top of a problem with their Pepsi needing changed out without a complaint being made. I can not recommend this Ihop at all. Every step of the experience there was a wait. Wait to be seated, wait for the server to acknowledge us, wait for our food it just seemed to take a lot longer than it should have. The Grinch cocoa was very pretty but was barely warm and the iced tea was rancid. Our chicken noodle soup was not hot by any stretch of the imagination. The cheesecake french toast was nothing like it showed on the menu it was just french toast with a some cream cheese and raspberries on it. The turkey dinner came out and the turkey looked like it had been processed beyond recognition, i had to ask for gravy for the mashed potatoes (the server said the meal didn't come with gravy) and for the lingonberries that was supposed to come with it.
