What a great place to buy a quality mattress. Large selection and no pressure to buy this or that. When we walked in, we were greeted by Jerry Kite, the manager. We explained about how we had been waking up with stiff backs and that rotating our old mattress only made things worse. Based on our son's recommendation, we asked to see the Aireloom line of mattresses. We tested all 5 examples, going back and forth, scrunching into each one, testing different pillows. Jerry explained the differences between the different models, then left us to continue at our own pace while he met with other customers. After 15 minutes or more, he checked back and gave us a suggestion -- first narrow it down to 2 or 3 mattresses, then keep narrowing. Good suggestion. After about an hour, we agreed on the middle one in terms of firmness. During that time, Jerry also sold mattresses to two other customers, giving each of them the same helpful, friendly attention. Jerry asked if we wanted a new box spring or an adjustable base. We decided not to at this time and that was it -- no pressure to buy either. We completed the purchase and delivery was set for 3 days later. As we were leaving, Jerry gave us a free pillow for our son for his referral. Nice touch. It's clear that selling mattresses is a profession for him, not just a job. The delivery guys showed up at the start of the 2-hour window (how often does that happen?!), were very polite and efficient as they took away the old mattress and set up the new one. Great...
Read moreI would like to make Mancinis aware of the deceptive practices of your manager, David Hollaway, Pinole CA. I’m 77 on chronic pain meds, for long term pain issues that David and I discussed. I was concerned about the patterned tops. David said there was only one without pattern, Casper Slate firm. My research showed Casper dependable. I ordered 7/6 with delivery 7/7. After more research into the firm, I cancelled delivery before hand, talked to David, can’t do firm, need soft or maybe medium. Went in 7/7, he had two for me to try. They were comparable, had some give, thought medium, it should work. Delivered 7/8. It was like lying on the ground, hard as a rock and no give, no indentation at all. I tried it; put me in horrible excruciating pain, couldn’t stay on it. Talked to David; he sold me an EXTRA FIRM knowing I couldn’t do firm and had requested soft/? Medium. It will be returned at the 30 days. As a result of his deception, not only will I not buy from Mancinis, he has guaranteed a loss of future sales, not only from my family and friends, but from businesses…real estate sales and property management/family and contractors/also family..both are brokers and owners. Read moreThe mattress we purchased was a great mattress, though we found we could get it for much less at the Simmons Outlet. Since we wanted the mattress sooner, we went through Mancini's Sleepworld. Encourage requesting a better offer on price. The issue for us was, we also purchased two Harmony Pillows, which are quite costly for our budget (retail $199 new, purchased at $100 each). We looked at both floor models and new Harmony pillows, and given that floor models are not returnable and I am having a difficult time finding us comfortable pillows, we purchased new. At no time was it mentioned, that new pillows are not returnable either. After one week we found the pillows not to be a good fit. Due to the receipt mentioning a 120 day comfort and satisfaction return policy (nothing mentioned about pillows and sales person Pam mentioned floor models-not returnable), we waited to make sure we were going to be happy with the mattress. We know now the mattress is great, but when we tried to return the pillows, I was told that pillows are not returnable, even after the sales rep talked with the district manager. To me, this is very misleading and very poor customer service. Macy's and Big Lots allow for return of pillows as does Bed, Bath and Beyond.
