First time visiting Berkshire Mountain Lodge since we purchased our time share in 2018, from Covid to Travel restrictions we finally made it this year. The place is incredibly clean, a little bit outdated but being outdated everything is in working order and nothing is falling apart, the staff does an awesome job of maintaining and cleaning the place, the beds are very comfortable and clean, y wife always brings extra sheets to put on hotel beds as she knows they are not properly cleaned, she had no reason to put our sheets on these beds, we always bring Lysol wipes for the toilet seats as well but felt it was not needed here, just a super clean room. We went last week of April so the weather did not fully cooperate and rained second half of each day, but we made the best of it and did some bike riding and hiking in the near by area, the scenary was great the trails were clean and maintained, the Bike trail we rode was Ashuwillticook Rail Trail which is a 10-15 car ride from resort, this trail was on a paved trail through the forest beside the water, the trail had several clean washrooms on it, it was a ittle busy but everyone was friendly as the rode or walked past each other. When the rain came my wife and I went down to the large pool area were she read and I had a beverage and swim, just outside was their hot tub we also went into, both pool and hot tub smelt like chlorine so we knew they were clean and maintained, the hot tub in the rain was awesome as the air was cool but the tub was extremely warm and relaxing, overall it was a great place to relax and unwind, there are restaurants a Kohl's, an American supermarket and an Italian based supermarket with a hot table all within a 5 minute walk, there is a great little town 10 mins away that looks as though they specialize in Antique sales as there are plenty of Antique shops in that town. The front staff at the Berkshire were very friendly and they will assist if you have any questions about where to visit. All in all it was a great relaxing time, and...

Weekend birthday getaway trip to Berkshire mountain resort. Until arrival it was very awkward, the receptionist was not friendly and didn’t even crack a smile . At this point I’m thinking that we don’t belong here. Before arrival everything was paid for with a credit and upon entering the lodge , we were advised that a credit card is needed , 150 for a deposit with will be returned after check out . Also since it’s a split weekend we would need to pay 40 and another 20 dollars, total 60 dollars. We were able to option our room key and proceeded to our room. The room is very specious, the kitchen was observed as you entered the room , behind the door, it’s the bathroom with two way entrance. The dining room/ living room was also observed.
The dining room was observed with 4 chairs and a circle table and living room was observed with a couch, chair and ottoman. The ottoman appeared to be old as it was peeling. The couch had stained on one side. The next room was observed to be the bedroom with was a decent size. The only issue is the air conditioner was not working properly in the bedroom . The living room was cold.
The bathroom is also a decent size , however the shower curtain needs to be changed. There was mold or some stains at the bottom of the shower curtain.
We attempted to use the pool, however it’s dirt and need major renovation. At one side there is a crack and the other side sand was observed.
My experience was decent , however, It needs to be better maintained to raise the quality of the experience. There is no house keeper, if you need any toiletries and new towels , you need to call front desk and go downstairs to pick it up.My anxiety was a 10 upon arrival and a 5...
Read moreMy daughter lives in the Berkshires, so I visit often and figured I would try this place out. My husband and I travel the country working hospitality management positions at seasonal properties, so this is my industry. Check in was great and efficient. I was in my room within 10 minutes of arrival, so that was great. I would give the room 7.5 out of 10 on cleanliness. It was clean, but could use more attention to detail. The king bed is big and comfy. The pull out that my daughter and her boyfriend stayed on definitely was not. Plenty of kitchen supplies, bed linens, and bathroom supplies (all very clean). The first night that we were here, the pizza delivery guy kept texting and calling us after he made his delivery- making us very uncomfortable. It was within 2 hours of us checking in, so I requested to move rooms as it scared us. I was told that they could not accommodate my request and to "call the cops" instead. As I am a seasoned hospitality worker, I thought this was a horrible response to a very simple and easy request. When my daughter approached housekeeping on our third day to request extra towels, toilet paper, etc.- she was told no and to call the front desk, once again a completely unacceptable response to a simple and normal request. Tonight is our fourth and final night. The checkout time is 10 am, but my flight is not until 3 pm. I called the front desk to request a 1130/12 checkout- even offering to pay extra. I was told no, that they absolutely cannot accommodate late check outs on Friday or Saturday. $670 for my stay plus $125 cleaning fee. For a total "no" attitude. The entire staff needs to be trained in the definition of hospitality and how to keep our industry a great one. I absolutely will not stay here again, nor will I recommend it to any family...
