wanted to love this place, but had a horrifying experience the second time i visited.

i came in for a uv gel fill (which i’ve gotten here before) and a pedicure.

during the pedicure, the nail tech kept asking me “oh honey does this feel good” while he was massaging my feet and it creeped me out.

when we went to start the fill, i kept trying to communicate what i wanted but felt like he wasn’t listening to me. i showed a reference photo of exactly what i wanted to make sure he knew what i was saying.

as he started to do the fill, i realized that he wasn’t trained well with uv gel because of the amount of product he put on my nails. he seemed like he was rushing to get it done and it was SO messy. i’ve been getting uv gel for years and i’ve never seen it done this way.

then it came time to shape my nails. i came in with super long natural nails and told him many times that i just wanted to change the shape, not cut them. again i showed the reference photo. he then proceeded to grind down my nails the shortest they could possibly be, which was the opposite of what the reference photo looked like. since they were my natural nails & not acrylics, once he started there was no going back.

eventually, i was so frustrated that i voiced i was extremely unhappy. there was obviously a language barrier because he didn’t understand what i was saying and the nail tech next to him had to translate. as we were talking, another nail tech (young male) started yelling at me and arguing saying it was my fault… but he had never looked at my original nails - he was in the pedicure room the entire time. he made a scene in front of the very busy nail salon.

after this i requested someone else finish my nails, so jennifer stepped in. she couldn’t even salvage what he had done. i left with my nails different lengths and shapes. in addition, i have multiple cuts on the skin around my nails (that were bleeding) because they were so careless.

genuinely my worst nail salon experience ever. she also charged me full price despite how unhappy i was.

i don’t know the man’s name because he wasn’t wearing a name tag like everyone else, but...

Sad to say my experience was not incredible, I visited last year around Christmas and had a great experience this time not so much. I paid $90 for a full set of acrylics that didn’t end up looking like the reference picture I showed. I asked for normal french instead of the black like the reference picture, Lucas did this correctly but didn’t imitate the bows or coloring that I wanted. The ring finger should’ve been painted white, and I wanted the bow to be a different shade of pink, not hot pink. Throughout the manicure his filing was aggressive and was hurting my nail beds, when using the drill he cut open my thumb. He didn’t even seem to care or ask if I was okay, I had to stop the bleeding myself and was seriously in pain. Really disappointed with how messily these nails came out and how I was charged $5 for “long nails”, the length I chose was medium, $7 for a “special length or shape”… I just wanted the nails rounded, and “nail art” for $18 which was a french tip and bow done horribly. The bows are two different sizes and the french tip was done sloppily. My mother was getting a gel manicure and I finished before her in around 45 minutes… A full set of acrylics painted and filed properly should not be done that quickly, I wasn’t even given any lotion or massage after the manicure. I asked one of the nail techs after if it would be possible for me to get a color change since I wasn’t liking how my nails turned out, I hate asking for them to do more work but looking at my nails I was seriously upset. She at first said they could but they would charge me twice … Then she said that wouldn’t be possible because it would damage my nails. I didn’t want to argue and finished up my pedicure which I was pleased with. But definitely not happy with manicure results. Great experience with Seven. I will be back and tell all my colleagues in Lenox to book with him. He listens and has wonderful attention to detail in perfecting your polish. After 7 years of living in the Berkshires. I found a great manicurist. Feeling Grateful!
