The worst Pho I have ever had.
Broth was bland and one noted that note being salt, completely devoid of richness. Meat was not tender and very lacking in quantity. Every Pho place that I’ve been to and I’ve been to quite a few to say the least has a tray of condiments at every table (sriracha, chili oil etc) not a single table had condiments, you had to squeeze your rear end within inches of people eating at their table in order to reach the communal condiment table at the far end of the restaurant in order to try to scoop some condiments into little plastic cups to bring back to your table. But wait there’s more. The Pho is served in to go plastic containers even though I’m eating in, they give you a tiny flimsy plastic spoon for your Pho that’s so cheap that with every additional dip into your hot Pho broth the spoon gets flimsier and flimsier. Now for the best part, you’re encouraged to order and pay at the touch screen at the entrance of the restaurant, which is fine I like technology but it automatically includes an 18% tip, 18% tip so that they can bring me my food that I already ordered and paid for myself? (it can be adjusted or removed but still it’s the principal) Ok fine, but guess what? They don’t even do that, my name was called and I had to get my own food, so what exactly was that tip for? Mind you this was a $20 bowl of Pho, every single Pho place I’ve been to charges between $15-$17 and has impeccable service, condiments at table, delicious broth and actually serve their Pho in a real bowl with a real Pho spoon. In summary this place is an...
Read moreWe were excited to try this new restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. We ordered a mixed veggie pho with added beef and a chicken pad thai, specifically requesting that the food be packaged separately due to a severe peanut allergy—which was clearly noted on our order. Despite this, all the food was packaged together, creating a risk of cross-contamination.
As for the food itself:
Chicken Pad Thai – The flavor was lacking compared to our usual spot (Vong’s), and overall, it was underwhelming.
Pho – The broth was enjoyable, but there were barely any vegetables. The noodles were undercooked, stuck together in clumps, and the broth wasn’t hot enough to properly separate them. I also paid an extra $4 for added beef, only to receive four small, thin slices—not worth the upcharge.
On top of that, service was extremely slow, even for takeout. We placed an order for a scheduled pickup time, arrived five minutes past that time, and still had to wait longer for our food to be ready.
The highlight of the meal was the matcha milk tea (ordered 50% sugar, 50% ice), which was delicious. However, a coconut milk or dairy-free option would be a great addition to the menu.
Overall, we had high hopes for this place but left disappointed. Between the long wait, lackluster flavors, and allergy concerns, we’re not sure if...
Read morePros: Food was okay, staff was nice and definitely trying to get food out quick.
Cons: very limited seating! Prices are WAY too high. Paid $30+ for two appetizers and a drink (the food was okay, for the price it should’ve been better).
A few more details: It was busy, as expected for a new restaurant, but the service was fast! The staff were trying very hard to take orders and announce whose order was up. Unfortunately the seating is very limited and due to the excessive amount of patrons my friend and I almost had to stand and eat. I ordered the Pork Dumplings off of the appetizer menu and a fruit tea. My friend ordered the Vegetable Dumplings also off of the appetizer menu and our order came to over $30. For two appetizers and a drink it seemed WAY over priced. The food didn’t seem to be worth that much although it did taste okay. I wish the owners luck in this new endeavor, however I will probably not be back until the prices are at least...
