Beautiful & Lovely!!!! This hotel has the most clean scent everywhere and very high standards!! We made the horrible mistake of staying at the Black Swan Inn (The Swamp!) and had concerns of possible bed bugs along with pure filth I'd take pictures of, they do not wash /launder linen & bedding between guests and you will be expected to sleep on prior guests fido's fur, fleas, skin particles, dirt, sickening mess. No microwave as advertised, I wish to God we'd seen this Hilton when we had the stay to go to the closing for my condo. This Hilton DAZZLE'S, it's class is true beauty & touch of corporate with elegant gestures. I can't emphasize how sparkling clean and shiny this hotel is, the scent is very clean and they make a great effort!! If your room isn't up to standard, they take it seriously and immediately move you to an incredible alternative!! Even in a room without a desk and not quite as clean, is still stunning in comparison to the hellish "inns" down the road that are really Bates motels posing as cozy inns!! The staff is glorious, very courteous and classy. The African American woman who is there at check outs is so professional and collected, she has such a beautiful presence, lovely voice and warm smile! They clearly care about "the brand" and portrayal publically, so much effort is invested in how high standard the rooms are not to mention the nice, state of the art conference room I believe can be rented out. There is a Buddha theme /restaurant which we never ate at because I suffer from celiac and severe food allergy, but that didn't stop me from admiring the grand lobby and gorgeous decor! It is very comfortable with nice couches and plenty of lighting, high ceilings when you walk in. You know you're entering a higher end hotel and honestly, this stunning hotel was only around twenty dollars more or less, per night than that sham filthy swan lake!! You can get better pricing depending on who answers and if you insist, but I highly recommend not cheaping out and going elsewhere because your health & safety is not worth it and the stress of a sub par stay isn't deserved for anyone. This is literally the best you're gonna get for the cost. I was so impressed with how well constructed the rooms were, I now want my new closets I have to replace in my condo with the same closets Hilton had, GREAT QUALITY without breaking the bank. This place is smart and doing things right!! The non-smoking floors have this signed and emphasized and we never ran into marijuana problems which that stench makes me sick and runs rampant at other supposedly "smoke free" hotels. This was definitely a higher class hotel and clientele!! The carpeting, bathrooms, separate coffee bar, lounger, furniture, the cute little tv tray and luxury shampoos/lotions were all amazing touches!! The colors and art work, CLEAN spare comforter in the closet, the spacious rooms, what's not to love!?! The only thing I like more at Howard Johnson is the larger fridge, but sadly that place which is in my old town of Hadley Ma, allows marijuana and has been corrupted by a combination or student dormatory /homeless which destroys a vacation or corporate purpose for any respectable hotel establishment. The heat was sufficient and I tend to be a very cold anemic. The tv channels were confusing but otherwise fine and not reflective of the hotel but simply my not being used to NY news in Massachusetts and not knowing the channel line up which I never figured out. There is a microwave provided in the rooms which is very useful/important, very nice closet and a bureau for clothes which other places don't seem to provide anymore or cheap out on a desk or anywhere to sit and eat. The elevators have nice flooring, there are cute balcony type off rooms with ice machines that are surrounded by windows and overlook the natural landscaping out back and views. There are solar panels. Easy to navigate, first class all the way! I would take my honeymoon here!...
Read moreThis would definitely be a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the end of our experience. Let me start though by saying that making the reservation checking in and our stay was amazing. The staff was more then accommodating to my disbelief they were able to do an early check in time through the Hilton honors reservation line which was so helpful and booking was extremely easy. Also, something that shocked us was that I reached out on here just the night before checking in as my wallet was stolen and I hadn’t gotten a replacement id I wanted to be sure they’d accept a picture of my Drivers license instead and was shocked to get a response that it wouldn’t be a problem. Checking in was easy the room was perfect comfortable and clean we had planned on staying one night and ended up staying for 3. The only problem came nearing the end of our stay when we decided that we’d stay another night and make it 4 total. I spoke with the front desk the night before and was told they would have to check as it was going to be busy and we may not be able to extend our room for another night. After checking I was told that it wouldn’t be a problem and that they confirmed us for a fourth night. However, the following morning to my surprise they called and reminded us of check out time and when I informed them that we had added another night they said that this wasn’t the case and that they were fully booked. I’m not sure what happened but as they had been so accommodating we didn’t make a big deal of it and said we may need a little extra time as obviously nothing was packed as we thought we’d be staying. The manager I believe called the room shortly after and said that we would have to be out as soon as possible because they needed the room I informed her what happened and said we were packing but was told that I never confirmed another night was already late checking out and 5 mins later we had the manager along with a man from staff at the door who were extremely rude and proceeded to wait outside the door for the 15 mins or so that it took to finish getting our things together and as we were waiting on a ride we brought all our luggage to the back entrance which they angrily and awkwardly watched us do offering no assistance but reminding us that we needed to hurry. I was so surprised by this change as everything from before and during our stay went so extremely smooth one of the absolute best experiences I’ve had with any hotel and I made sure to tell them this. I could see if I hadn’t already been informed that we were all set and confirmed for another night their actions may have been warranted however we weren’t just being inconsiderate in fact they were. Upon reviewing my receipt I saw a possible explanation for this change in attitude. I was given the nightly rate I had upon first checking in which was an amazing deal of $120 a night when we checked online for the prices of local hotels including the Hilton garden inn we discovered that the rate per night had gone up to almost $400 a night which led us to assume that obviously they no longer wanted to extend someone staying for a fraction of that which is why tho I was informed the night before that the extra night was confirmed that wasn’t the case by the following morning. Tho I can’t be sure that was the case it seems likely. All in all if they’d just been more considerate and polite upon our leaving it wouldn’t have bothered me as...
Read moreWhat a great hotel! We were greeted by Helena, who has to be the sweetest person we have ever encountered in any hotel (and I travel a lot)! Her customer service went above and beyond! We were heading back from Cooperstown after taking our son there for his birthday. The driving from the weather was so bad, it literally doubled our time! Stressed and exausted, we just wanted to check in, take a dip in the pool and sleep. We told Helena about our night, and she was kind enough to keep the pool open an extra hour for us, to be able to do that! Then, she offered us free breakfast in the morning as well, because she said she felt badly that things went so wrong for our son's birthday! I've never met anyone in this field that genuinely cared so much! She honestly turned this day completely aroubd for us, and especially our son! Management & Ownership should truly take note of this young lady, because she is a true asset to this company!
For the hotel itself, it was very clean & comfortable, had everything you need and then some. Great location with plenty of places to eat and a supermarket just down the street. In the Berkshires, there's lovely views in the surrounding area as well. The breakfast was nothing less than amazing! Eggs cooked to order, breakfast meats, fresh waffles, yogurt, tons of fresh fruit, and assorted breakfast pastries! The strawberry & cheese croissants were to die for! Coffee, tea, juices. You couldn't ask for better quite honestly.
Staying here again is a no-brainer! Cannot wait for our return trip in the future, because we have a...
