Diana - Like the Princess! My eighty five year old mother & I moved from Florida to Massachusetts recently. It was my mother's dream to move back "home" and spend the rest of her life here. We rented a truck for the move. After four days of driving we were HOME! When we opened the back of the truck, a small wave of water came out of the truck! We had been given a damaged truck - it had a hole in its' roof! The manager of the truck rental company in Florida had inspected the truck with us - none of us saw the hole because it had been hidden by silver tape that matched the aluminum roof inside the truck. We lost EVERYTHING! My mother & I slept on air mattresses while the insurance company dealt with our claim. I spent so much money on the move. I had to come up with more money to pay rent and put down a deposit for a storage unit. Day after day I saw how the stress was taking its' toll on my mother. After two weeks of sleeping on the air mattress, my mother was in so much pain that she was having trouble walking! I was so concerned, so stressed out, and I had very little money left. I knew I had to do something to help my mother. I had done business with Mattress Firm in the past. I had purchased two mattress sets from them when we lived in Florida. Mattress Firm always treated me with kindness, honesty, and professionalism. I called the Mattress Firm in Pittsfield, MA and Diana answered the phone. I needed to have a potentially embarrassing conversation with her so I felt incredibly awkward. I explained the situation to Diana. I went into detail about the truck incident, how we had lost everything including our mattress sets, that my mother was having difficulty walking, and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. Diana listened to every detail. She let me talk and never interrupted or seemed impatient with me. When I was finished explaining our situation to Diana the first thing she did was comfort me. She didn't talk down to me because I didn't have a lot of money to spend. She told me immediately that she would do everything she could to help us! My mother & I headed straight over to Mattress Firm to see Diana. She already had mattresses pulled out for my mother that were truly in our budget! She was so kind to us. She treated us with respect and truly cared about us. Diana worked directly with my mother. She was patient with my mother and really listened to what she had to say about each mattress. After choosing a mattress, my mother and I sat down with Diana and scheduled a delivery date & time. Everything was done perfectly! Diana's attention to detail was flawless. She sincerely asked us if she could help us with anything else. Diana earned our trust! We'll see her again soon to purchase another mattress set. The delivery & set up went perfectly as well. I'm sorry my review is a few months late but I have been in an extremely difficult relocation that's preoccupied my time. Sleepy's was one of the only successful accomplishments I managed to get done when one of the biggest storms of the season hit, cancelling my move (which sadly was only the first in a series of set backs). They are conveniently located in the region I'm moving into & a wonderful salesman was there who was prepared to demonstrate and assist with choosing a mattress you'll be satisfied with. He had a script but not at all in a bad way but presented in a nearly packaged, organized format to which actually proved quite helpful & efficient!! They have a wide variety of various types of mattresses /brands & prices, features, etc. He was not high pressure and would read our ques well in terms of what our needs were versus what we weren't interested in. My twin mattress is HEAVEN, it's billowing soft & I can tell is going to provide years of comfort & soft support as I dream off into la la land & recover from my physically demanding career in the health field. Very reasonably priced IMO, I think the total was around $500 which is certainly acceptable considering their convenience & reliable, excellent delivery service!! That by the way went beautifully, they arrived on time and mo waiting around all day wondering where people are, and they were in & out, polite and concise. Unfortunately I can't recall the kind gentleman who assisted with our purchase but he was fabulous and mentioned other clients he'd just serviced on my very road in North Adams!! I will confess I haven't gotten to sleep on the mattress yet due to not having my bed moved up there but with how padded & luxury it is, I already know it beats my current mattress which is torn, stained, & springy feeling from probably the late 90's early 2000's, so old I can't remember but when I had the opportunity to be gifted a new mattress I knew for my health sake it would definitely be advisable & a welcomed upgrade!! Thank you to Anthony my friend who treated me and thank you Sleepy's for happening to be open that snowy evening right there in that nice shopping plaza!! Now if I can only find a local place for a dryer?? I highly recommend Sleepy's, ours was a very happy & positive experience and if it wasn't I have no problem sharing that as I take pride in writing a truthful review & making the effort where credit is due. Consumers comparing feedback is important in the public sphere. Sleepy's please continue with your winning formula & serving your costumers well and they'll likely have a serta or mattress of your liking/needs so please consider shopping with them or at least having a look!!...

Edit A couple months after I bought my first mattress I realized it wasn't the right choice and went in for an exchange. The first time I went the guy who was there wasn't helpful at all, but this time the 2 gentlemen who helped me were amazing! I don't know the first guy's name, but the other was Ralph. The first gentleman helped me pick out a mattress for my specific needs and didn't try to upsell me which i really appreciated. When i called the next day to do the exchange with the manager he was out sick and I got Ralph. Ralph went above and beyond helping me with not only the exchange, but the delivery and restocking costs. After feeling unsure about my first encounter there, these 2 changed my whole outlook and I would go back to them just for the service they provided.* I don't think there was anything great about my experience but not necessarily bad either. I called to get some questions answered and Darnell never called me back so I had to go in. I wouldn't have bought from him but I needed a new mattress desperately and wasn't going to a million places, but he didn't really help just cashed me out. I needed my old mattress removed because it was so heavy so it cost me $120 for delivery and removal when they could've delivered the new mattress to my door for free and I could've paid 15 dollars and got a sticker to have the old one picked up. If I hate my mattress, after spending however much money, now I have to pay even more to get a new one plus a restocking fee and delivery and pickup?? There's just way too many fees when you're making a big purchase. Next time I'll take more time looking and go...
