This store was ONCE voted the worst Walmart in allllll of America, but that is all in the past now! This store in particular is always well stocked, has everything you need, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and overall the store has been revamped, and is always clean! As soon as there is a spill or an accident, someone is there to clean it up or to help in anyway they can. We had one of the best experiences here! Which is why this store will always be my favorite. I was 9months pregnant and needed to find a certain product that not a single associate at the two previous stores(not Walmart) had ever heard of. I was having a hard time walking(I was visibly very uncomfortable) I saw an employee, and before I could say anything he said “are you ok? Do you need some assistance?” I asked him if he knew where the product was and he said “oh yes! They are always in the strangest spot!” So I started to follow him, he stopped and said “oh no no, please take a seat(HE PULLED A FOLDABLE CHAIR OUT FROM BEHIND THE DESK IN THE PAINT CENTER AND OPENED IT FOR ME, SAT ME IN A SPOT OUT OF THE WAY OF CUSTOMERS) and relax right here. It’s clear across the store anyways. I’ll be right back with your product.” He was back in a few minutes with exactly what I needed. I was so thankful for that 3 minute rest and especially his kindness. This particular incident was over 7 years ago now and we see him weekly, he is and always will be my favorite employee, the other employees are great, most laugh at my super corny jokes, and are patient while I’m fumbling with my card or cash. They keep order and do not let anyone cut in front of anyone else, anytime there is a problem, they have staff there to handle it immediately. Like I said this store has come a long way and I’m so proud to say it is our home town...
Read moreOne too many times I have gone to Walmart to buy an item that the Website states is available in the local store only for it to not exist. I have heard every excuse and variation on the why's and hows. Every single time they try to up-sell me something else. It has happened far too often to be coincidence or accident, at this point it is intentional bait and switch on the part of Walmart as corporation - a practice that has long ban prohibited with printed media and now they are exploiting the failure of law to keep up with the digital age. WAKE UP consumers - they are banking on getting you into the store falsely hoping that you will purchase something so the trip wont be wasted. Their underhanded practices have driven far better stores out of the area. Consumers need to stand up for themselves and send Walmart a clear message that we have had enough! And a newsflash for Walmart and any other retail chain - if you deceive me to get me into your store I am not going to order the product from your online store! This is why brick and mortar stores across the country are failing - not failure to compete with online retailers, but poor customer service, poor selection, and poorly stocked shelves. If you advertise a product available at a given store, then when I arrive it should be. For the record, the "we just sold the last one" is the oldest trick in the book, and only works once or twice - this has happened dozens of times at multiple Walmarts....
Read moreThe policies and associates are getting out of control. One entrance and exit I understand, but they have an electronic gate inside this store that is past the bathroom area. I witnessed 2 separate instances of customers getting degraded for trying to go back through the electronic gates. One had an item to switch out at customer service which was between the doors and the electronic gate, and the second was a customer that had to use the bathroom that was also between the doors and the electronic gate. The employee was not only rude in how she addressed the customers, she also was very confrontational. Instead of getting rude with the customers, after she explained why and how they needed to proceed, she kept getting rude and not dropping the situation which just escalated the bad feelings from the customers. I believe better placement of the gates between the entrance and exit areas would have helped as well as someone that understands there are one-off situations for everything. A person that has bladder or Krons issues, may not have the ability to go all the way around all the registers, back outside and then back in to go to the bathroom. And the service area should be accessible for a swap. Was the customer supposed to take unpaid for merchandise out through a register, outside the building and then back into the store to swap it for merchandise she was returning? Bad policies, bad positioning of equipment, and not the right people...
