its taco bell, you all know the deal... "mexican" food at a cheap price made fast and enjoyed with some baja blast. On this fine day, upon receiving my order i asked for a spork to eat my fiesta potatoes and the unfriendly girl told me she would look in the back... upon looking in the back it was discovered that they did not have any sporks in stock and she had no options for me. She glanced at the knives like she was thinking... Hey - use the knives as chop sticks... Not happening. Half of the fun in going to Taco Bell is getting a spork to clean up the mess after your crunchy taco falls apart. I returned to my table, albeit sporkless, and ate my food items that didnt require a utensil. Finally, it was decided that we would all share a spork. after washing it in the restroom., we each took our turns with it. Glorious moment as I got to eat my delicious fiesta potatoes. This is when things take a turn for the worse.... It is now noticed that the wonderful Taco Bell employees are not proactively advising the customers that they dont have utensils and are just sending them packing without even a hint of letting them know they are going to have to eat their smothered burrito with either two knives or their bare hands. We offered to let the gentleman wash our, already three person used, plastic spork.... in which he accepted. Hey - Desperate times call for desperate measures. Wouldnt you think that in this situation the store management would respond with a "Hey, I can see walmart.... I am sure they have plastic cutlery..." The worst was there was no reaction at all. Being proactive is always the best course taken... If you fail at that, please be reactive. Dont just stand there and be inept offering up half hearted oh, im sorry. I really hope they can get their inventory under control as this whole ordeal is a tell tale sign of bad management. Get it under control. Taco bell is a large organization with cookie cutter instructions of how to...
Read moreSo, I generally love Taco Bell but recently, I have been getting very frustrated at this locations handling of orders. The last THREE times I have visited this location I have been given the wrong order. The drive-thru line has taken between 15-20 minutes each time which is absolutely ridiculous for fast food service. On top of that, one of the times I went inside to order to skip the long line it took exactly the same amount of time!
There was nobody at the ordering counter for nearly 8 minutes, when I did finally wave someone down they got my order completely wrong. I went back in and stood at the counter for nearly ten more minutes (yes the employees saw me) before I was finally helped and had my order corrected.
Employees were messing around in the bathroom, people actually making tacos were looking for these people. There were some folks outside smoking during all of this... the drink machines were empty, there were no lids, the sodas were flat... it was an embarrassment. It was like this place was being run by high schoolers and even that is giving too much credit. The service was abysmal.
I have never in my life written in to a company website to report a location but this was too absurd for me to ignore. It's an absolute mess. On top of that I, I have to drive to this location which is 30 minutes away from my house because our town apparently can't support a taco bell. Insult to injury when I take the time to drive that far away just for a taco and it ends up being a bad idea.
If you see a long line at this location do yourself a favor and skip the tacos for that day. And I have no interest in contacting the Hospitality of Syracuse to get a follow up from a manager. Clearly the issue won't be fixed with that. The issue is deeper than customers speaking...
Read moreReviews are shoddy here and somehow I have avoided any bad tacos that I have seen from prior reviews. However, the service has gotten worse this year. This is the third time I am missing food to my order. Normally I order inside cause after the first time I like to double check. The service inside is fine but it feels like you are expected to use the kiosks to order. For me that is fine but I have watched people stand there waiting and waiting without any service. It's almost akward and makes the atmosphere feel like a mystery at times. I have experienced this at lunch and dinner times.
Anyhow, this time the inside area is closed and I went through the drive through. Go back to my office and.. once again a taco was left out. I'm ordering a box and two extra tacos. This is the 3rd time in a row I am missing something to my order. The second time I did not get the order right and I was missing food. It was already hard to flag someone down inside but with the inside closed I am not driving back through the drivethrough to deal with this. It's already overpriced imo. Make tacos a dollar again and it won't be so bad when I am missing two in my order. It's ridiculous to spend 15-20 bucks and get 2/3rds the order.
The only upsides is the lady at the 1st window is always nice when I did the drive through, and the food when I do get it is really not that bad. I'd say better than my experiences at Taco Bells elsewhere. 2 stars for that. Unfortunately I think I am done. I was patient as is but I won't spend more for...
