When we arrived on site a little earlier than our check-in time, we were told it would be a $50 charge. We decided to wait the 1.5 hours instead of paying, and walk the boardwalk. As we were walking away, someone yelled out, “YOU CAN’T PARK HERE!” After a short discussion with the staff about why our spot should be available since no one can park in their spot after checkout at 11, we decided to move the car and pay the $5 across the street. Later on, my parents stopped by the place to see our room. As we were talking outside, a staff member approached while on a phone call and asked my parents if they are parked in the lot (they weren’t) in an annoyed manner. |The room was very clean, but we weren’t expecting a handicap room fitted with an indoor ramp to get to the bathroom and all the grab bars and railings. I may have missed this but it wasn’t clear on the website when booking. We had an issue with the refrigerator, which is a wine refrigerator when it was beeping. The same woman who yelled from the store answered the phone and told us it’s due to the door being left open. We fixed the problem and then she showed up at our door a little later, “didjou figure out the fridge?” |Upon checkout, walking to the office, the same woman asked, “you checking out?” And immediately went into the room. We went to the store to checkout and gave the keys and beach passes to the staff after they finished a coffee order. We walked back to the car and saw the door open and the same woman reading our feedback on the comment card, shrugging and looking very annoyed with us. She looked out the door to is a few times as we backed out of the parking lot. It was very awkward to say the least. Very unprofessional staff, rude and did not ever feel welcome or hospitality. We loved the location but would not...
Read moreABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We booked the penthouse last minute for a Labor Day long weekend away… we were so lucky to have even been able to book the place because I imagine it’s always booked solid for peak season. The penthouse is not only beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, but the owners thought of every tiny detail to ensure the stay was perfect. It’s a huge space, plenty of room to spread out, king size beds, high quality linens… every room has a smart TV, new appliances!! I could go on but truthfully the wrap around porch then seals the deal for the PERFECT location and views!! Watching the boats cruise by from the inlet to the ocean is just so relaxing. Walking distance to The Shrimp Box, Red’s Lobster Pot and Sinner’s Steakhouse - literally all around the corner. HUGE benefit: coffee shop directly downstairs, open daily and offering quick snacks such as breakfast sandwiches, espresso, ice coffee with frozen “coffee balls” - I mean they thought of everything!! Two minute walk to the beach/boardwalk and beach passes included!!! Bikes included in rental - which we didn’t get the chance to use but knowing we could have is super!! Mickey, the manager is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! She made us feel welcomed, went out of her way to help us add on another night to our stay, at the last minute!!! We travel all over the world and it’s nice knowing this gem is located right in our own home state offering a superior vacation experience!!! TOP NOTCH IN EVERY WAY!!! We will be back for certain. So grateful for a last minute weekend with our kids!!!...
Read moreA beautiful recently renovated hotel. I’m personally tired of all these old fashioned outdated hotels on the Jersey Shore. We are so glad we found this spot. It’s positioned right next to the Manasquan inlet and it’s one block walk from the beach. There are benches and picnic tables right across the street. A great apot to bring your breakfast and watch the boats ride out as the sun rises. We stayed in room 3. It was a good size room for my wife and I but too small of a bed. We had a queen but would prefer a king. The shower is nice and big and allows for you to walk in and wash off the sand from the beach. Would be better if there was a water spout outside to wash off because you have to walk through the room to get to the shower. It has a stocked mini fridge with drinks and a basket if snacks that are charged to your room if you eat them. There is a 7-eleven just down the road so don’t waste your money on those. theee was only one night stand on one side of the bed. Obviously because the mini fridge opens next to the other side. Would still be nice to have a small moveable table to put your phone and a bottle of water. Overall beautiful spot, highly priced but I felt it was worth it. We checked in late but they left our door open for us to enter at any time we arrived. There is a parking pass you have waiting in your room to put in your car after you arrive. The keys are traditional metal keys, you get two. Let me know if you thought my review was helpful and if you need me to answer...
