Norma K III — Local services in Point Pleasant Beach

5 stars! I’ve been fishing all my life and this is a great operation on this boat. Went out last day of blackfish season and was not disappointed. From capt to crew everyone was super friendly easy to talk to and helpful in any way possible. First capt definitely works hard to put you on fish. I could tell this just by the way he was trying to get the boat to sit on a certain piece of bottom he wanted to try. And this type of fishing requires precision it can make the difference of catching and not catching. Plus was always asking you guys getting hits or any fish which tells me he doesn’t want to waste time in a spot not producing something. The mates work hard all trip. Constantly going around the boat seeing if everyone is ok. Right there if you need a net, more bait, snagged, or need a new rig. They work hard so don’t forget to take care of your mates at the end of your trip. Wish I got everyone’s name so I could mention them but what a great group of guys to be out on the water with. I look forward to getting on this boat for fluke season. This is a lengthy review but coming from someone with a lot of fishing experience and I could say with confidence that you get on this boat you won’t be disappointed in your experience. Norma K III I LOVE THIS BOAT SO MUCH FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: VERY CLEAN! VERY FAST! SPACIOUS! HOWEVER, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CREW WHO ARE VERY DISHONEST- REAL POOL WINNERS ARE NOT GIVEN WHAT THEY DESERVE. HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME TO FOLLOW HIM TO WEIGH ANOTHER FISH THAT HE THINK BIGGER THAN WHAT I HAVE IN FRONT OF ME . JUST FOR TRANSPARENCY BUT HE DIDN’T. I WAS ABOUT TO CONFRONT THE GUY WHO DID THE WEIGHING BUT I DON’T WANT HIM TO BE EMBARRASSED IN FRONT OF MANY PEOPLE WAITING FOR THEIR FISH TO BE CLEANED. NO MATTER HOW HEAVY AND BIG ONE’S CATCH FOR THE DAY- THEY WILL NOT HONOR IT FOR THEY ALREADY HAVE THEIR OWN DESIGNATED PERSON TO WIN. I WONDER IF THE CAPTAIN KNEW ABOUT THIS? IT’S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY IT’S ABOUT THE JOY THAT YOU CATCH THE BIGGEST FISH ON THAT TRIP. THEY CAN HAVE THE POOL MONEY IF WANT WHICH I KNOW THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE AFTER. THAT’S THE REASON WHY THE GUY DID IT. THEY HAVE PEOPLE FISHING FOR THE POOL MONEY WHICH IS NOT RIGHT. My review is based on the boat and not the experience fishing because I know catching fish is not a guarantee and we went out a couple days after hurricane! I didn’t find the boat overly clean, Neither of the bathrooms had running water in the sinks which made washing hands very difficult. There was hand sanitizer in the cabin but no paper towels or anything. The snack bar that they list as part of their amenities was the same counter that the first mates would put the fishing line on and throw hotdogs (which may have been for themselves) in the microwave with their bare hands after helping with all the fishing, yuck. And the mates were also smoking inside the cabin and cursing with kids around it was just very unprofessional. I will say the mate that helped us when we had problems while fishing was very good at his job but not very personable, hardly spoke at all. But he knew what he was doing with the fishing equipment etc and that was very helpful.
