Shore Fresh Seafood Market & Restaurant — Restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach

Absolutely terrible. DO NOT waste your time waiting at this "restaurant." Started off on a bad note with the hostess and went down hill from there. Was told the wait was 35 min-which we were fine with. We are patient people and ive been working in restaurants for 10 years. Waited over 45 minutes for a table, as all of the staff slowly moved around barely making an effort to flip any tables. We finally were seated and order. Got our appetizer-mussels- which were just okay. Nothing to brag about. As were half way through the appetizer, our lobsters came out and were plopped on our table. Our waitress had taken our order and never came back. Our lobsters are sitting there as we finished our app. A few min later I started on the lobster - AWFUL! Completely over cooked and VERY difficult to eat. Not to mention the crab meat on top was completely cold. Clearly the lobsters were sitting in the back and were MAYBE microwaved before brought to our table. We both pushed the lobster aside and waited for our server to come back. And of course she passed by us multiple times, never once asking why we weren't eating our food. Instead of just walking out without paying, we gave the hostess money for our appetizers but refused to pay for the lobsters and explained why. They did absolutely nothing to attempt to redeem themselves. Took our money, said sorry, and that was it.

Very upsetting that this was a very special occasion for my boyfriend and I, we waited 45 min for god awful food and terrible service. As I said I work in restaurants as a server, so I am NEVER one to complain, but this was just too much. Do not waste your time waiting an hour to sit in this place to be served food that is probably days old, by servers who take your order and never...

My grandson and I had a memorable meal at Shore Fresh Seafood Market & Restaurant in Point Pleasant after a a great day of fishing. Having spent the afternoon out on the high seas, we brought our appetites to Shore Fresh. My first impression was that things were not going to work out well, in spite of enthusiastic recommendations. Parking was tight, but that worked out well, and there appeared to be a line of people to be seated, but, it turned out, we were seated without much of a wait. My grandson enjoyed is calamari appetizer, while I had mussels as an appetizer. I found the mussels were delightful with delicious drawn butter and a hint of lemon. My grandson proceeded to have fish and chips, with the fish having a crunchy batter and moist flaky fish. He was particularly happy with his fries... er, make that chips. I enjoyed the crabmeat stuffed flounder, which was quite good. At this point I would like to note that many restaurants that have busy times, as Shore Fresh did the weekend night we were there, can be disappointing in preparation or presentation. Not so Shore Fresh: all of our meals were perfect. Kudos to the kitchen. We were also impressed by the quality of the service. Service was attentive, and made for an excellent experience. ...

The last time we were at shore Fresh was 2014. Mainly because the service was so bad and townie. But Where we usually go (Spikes had a very long wait so we headed to Shore fresh again). The service was greatly improved and I had an accident where I fell into a ditch in Bermuda and broke my ankle in 2 places on our anniversary in 2016. I had it repaired by a world class surgeon. I did not recover yet and that was in 2016. We found out it is because I have a tumor. Long story short the server we had was kind and could see I was having a a hard time because I now walk with a 4 pronged cane even though I look too young for that. Anyway so long story short , the service has improved so much we want to go back! I am allergic to shell fish and they have a few options for me that are not salmon and tuna which I am seriously bored of.

Here are the pros and cons as I see it. 1.Great food! Seafood and sides are great! 2.Wait is not too long 3,close to the beach.
