Atlantic Motel — Hotel in Point Pleasant Beach

So my daughter had a great stay last week in the one suite they have here so before she left we made a reservation to stay in the same suite this week. We were told that the reservation was all set and then we get here today and they have no record of it and the suite is occupied. Basically had to argue with the manager to get any compensation because they were prepared to do absolutely nothing for us so we're stuck in this tiny room with no kitchen and of course we brought food to cook so we wouldn't have to eat out the whole time because we thought we'd have the suite with a kitchen but no we have to stay in the box of a room now and we will hopefully be moving to the suite tomorrow. I say hopefully because who knows now because they tell you one thing and you don't know if that's true or not. The only reason we're even getting the option of changing rooms to the room we were supposed to have in the first place is because my daughter sat there and basically argued with the manager to get it. This is completely ridiculous. We made the reservation specifically to stay in the suite and they totally screwed us and seem like they couldn't care less. I can only hope that everything works out tomorrow because the room they stuck us in is horribly cramped and all the food we brought will end up going bad :( what was supposed to be a great little mini vacay for us has turned into a complete aggravation. My boyfriend booked a 2 night stay at The Atlantic Motel, this was a spur of the moment trip and we wanted to get to the beach before the 4th of July. I read reviews and saw good ones and bad ones, I figured I shouldn't judge until I see for myself. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful, she called my boyfriend when the room was ready for us. Once we got our keys and walked our bags to the room, I suggested we check under the mattress to make sure there's no bed bugs (I've always seen horror stories on FB so I figured we should check). My boyfriend lifted the mattress and we founds syringes in between the mattress and the box spring. Pretty disgusting that the room was not cleaned from the people who used it before us. God forbid one of us stepped on a syringe?! We went to tell the front desk attendant and she kept going to the back room behind the counter to speak to her "boss". Not once did the boss come out to talk to us about what just happened. The girl told us the head cleaning woman would clean the room for us but we didn't feel comfortable staying in that room. Hello . So it’s been a whole month now that no one has gotten back to me . I went to stay their 1 night me and my husband - we didn’t want to drive home as we live far the guy at night that was sleeping gives me this room I walk in I check under beds for bed bugs and I found this I founds needles and an open needle with blood on it. Also when I walk into room their was a red cup that shows this place wasn’t cleaned and their was a niddle that was wide open with blood on it . Then the next morning a lady in the from asked me why I was looking under bed I mean I’m staying at a random place I’m checking the room for anything as I paid for the room I’m making sure their no bugs I don’t need to bring that home . If I was anyone I would never stay at this hotel going fwd even with children as I would not risk this If you walked in and saw this . this is also ridiculous that the own has never contacted me shows me that this happens a lot . This is beyond disgusting and they need to clean and really. Look at what is happening in these rooms .
