The Broadway Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach

6/12/2018 my family and I were looking for a place to eat, I read the reviews on Broadway Bar & Grill the reviews made it sound incredible. WRONG, the waitress was super rude, she took our order while at the same time bringing us all a water. It took about 20 minutes for our over cooked, burned meals to come up my son ordered a well done hamburger it was medium rare, crab cakes were horrible, the honey chicken basket was so over cooked my girls were unable to bite into I cut it with a knife it was dry as a bone, my grilled cheese was literally toasted on both sides and my cheese was cold, my fries were burnt. We waited for the waitress to return to discuss the meals with her, she never returned. Upon leaving I asked to speak with the manager Scott, first thing I did was ask him for our bill it took him 10 minutes to find the waitress then another 5 minutes to get back to us with our bill. He then asked the issues, and why I didn’t discuss these issues with the waitress I told Scott we didn’t see the waitress after she dropped our food at the table. I told him the issues he stated he would adjust the bill, original bill was $88.00 he went to the computer to adjust the bill walked over to us went to hand me the adjusted bill then stated just a moment at this time he pulled the bill back walked over to our table and checked each of our plates, then went back to the computer adjusted the adjusted bill we went from $88.00, to $53.00, final bill $73.09. So pissed off of telling him how horrible the food was, and Scott calling my husband and I liars my husband handed him our card. He was over running our card I walked over and asked him for copies of all of the adjusted bills he stated I already through them out, so I turned the flashlight on, on my phone and started checking the trash can by the computer. Scott then stated, this has gone to far I am going to have to ask you to leave I then took the receipts as well as our card, he then asked me to sign there copy . I stated you told me to leave so I will be leaving as you told me too and walked out. I only gave it a 1 so I could write a review. I would NOT recommend this...

I've been to Broadway in the past. Previously, I've had a better than average experience. While In Point over the weekend I stopped in with my gf. I noticed as busy as Point was the parking lot was empty. None the less we went inside. The bar had a few people. Their were also two couples sitting at tables. So we sat down and waited for our waitress. Seemingly, enough after ordering we assumed to eat in a timely manner. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I was shocked when our appetizer of calamari came out in a regular plastic french fry basket. Well the shocking part wasn't the basket. It was the fact that it was filled less than half of the way. About a third of the basket had regular run of the mill old frozen calamari. If that wasn't crazy enough at a cost of $13. The oil it was fried in wasn't hot enough and the breading fell off. Worst part is yet to come. I ordered a burger cooked medium well. It would take an hour to get our food. My burger would come cooked super well done (if that is a thing). It took 15 plus minutes to flag down the waitress. The food, the experience, and the service was horrific. In a bar that was dead. Best part was when I got my check the waitress whispered to us how she had my meal removed from the bill. Insanely enough she surmised she was doing me a favor. I returned the meal.... We couldn't wait any longer. For another meal. We had spent 90mins already there. Needless to say I will never recommend or go here again. There's so much going on in Point, I'm sure you'll find a better place by just throwing a rock in...

After looking at the positive reviews we took our family for dinner here on a Tuesday night. My youngest kids wouldn’t eat the honey dipped chicken because it was over cooked. My wife’s grilled cheese was under cooked with unmelted cheese and everyone’s fries were over cooked. My crab cakes were the most fishy tasting lousy crab cakes I have ever had in my life. We couldn’t find our waitress to complain about the food, and we were hungry, so we eat most of it. After the meal the we asked to speak to someone in charge, the manager/owner was very evasive about who he was or what he was going to do for us. It took forever for him to find the waitress to get our bill, and then he didn’t want to tell me how it was. I almost had to grab it from him before he showed me it was $88. I told him about half the food was ok and the rest was terrible,so I told him I would pay $50. My wife gave him details about what was good and what wasn’t in each of our 7 meals. Then he went and looked at our plates and proceeded to basically call us liars and took off a total of $12 from the bill. The grumpy ass waitress also lied to him and stated that she checked on us more than once. After running our card we were basically thrown out of the place. One star is too many for this...
