A Memorable Experience with a Few Hiccups
My recent visit to Twin Peaks on Siegen Lane was a mix of highs and lows. We arrived on Saturday around 4:30 PM, eager for a great evening—and for the most part, the food and drinks delivered exactly that! Everything was delicious, and our waitress was fantastic. She checked in with us periodically, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel genuinely welcomed.
However, the experience began with a frustrating delay. When we arrived, there was no host at the front, and despite making eye contact with several employees, no one took the initiative to seat us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I had to locate someone myself, which was disappointing. While I understand that shift changes or a busy rush may have played a role, having a dedicated host should be a priority in an establishment that prides itself on hospitality.
Once we were seated, the service improved significantly. Our waitress explained the situation and sincerely apologized, which we appreciated. However, the gentleman who eventually came to assist us did not offer an apology, which left a less-than-ideal impression.
Despite this initial setback, the rest of our experience was enjoyable. We visited Twin Peaks and had a wonderful time, so we returned. While this visit started on a rough note, our waitress's excellent food, drinks, and accommodating service redeemed the evening.
I still give Twin Peaks five stars for their outstanding food and drinks, but I genuinely hope they address the front-of-house issue so that future guests are not left waiting and wondering. First impressions matter; ensuring a seamless check-in process would elevate the...
Read moreCurrently on a well deserved vacation from my own hospitality serving job. I had planned on visiting a few museums in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area today. I booked a room locally at a Sleep Inn off I-12 and Route 60. I asked the front desk clerk recommendations for lunch. I mentioned I am a sports junkie with a appetite for delicious local craft brews. He mentioned the local Twin Peaks about five minutes away. I’ve been to the Fort Myers location in Florida and thought it was a brilliant choice.
I always seem to have the best of luck when dining at new locations cus I believe I got the star of the store. The hostess took me to my booth where I was promptly greeted by Miss Twin Peaks Baton Rouge 2023. Her name was Devin and was bursting with enthusiasm and charm. I was delighted with her product knowledge and history of the brand. I told her I love seafood and she recommended the trio. It hit just right. It was the remedy my hunger desired. In the course of service she mentioned her upcoming competition in Nashville, Tennessee. I thought she would was definitely the ideal type of ambassador to send from this location. Needless to say she got all five of my votes for Miss Popular. I’m headed to Houston on this trip but have already decided to stop in again to request her on my way home.
Thank you Michael J...
Read moreWe were greeted by someone who appeared to not like their job. Lacking the enthusiasm typical of other Twin Peaks restaurants. The person who sat us was pleasant. The server was inattentive at best. When asked if there were any hard ciders on tap, the response was, “I’m not good with beer.” (I thought this was a sports bar environment.) The server who delivered the appetizer was great! Our server didn’t either listen to our food orders or entered them incorrectly. I would suggest the kitchen may have made a mistake but based on the experience as a whole, I seriously doubt a kitchen error. When the food arrived, the pimento burger was ordered without pimento cheese but was served with it. The chicken tender meal (adult sized, as the server described it) consisted of two full sized tenders and two nuggets with a generous portion of fries. When the food arrived, I ordered a tall dirty blonde beer. The server apologized for not bringing the beer when the check was delivered. “The bar was busy.” Beverages were left unfilled unless we apologized and asked other servers for refills. The only time the server was attentive was when the check was delivered with a side of excuses.
I was appreciative of the military %off as I am a retired Marine. Thank you for serving...
