Lucky Enough is easily the best bar I've ever come across—and it's not even close. I could go on and on about the beautiful horseshoe bar that Art and Vito designed and built themselves, the vast selection of quality spirits to choose from (depending on your opinion of Malört), and the great location in one of the best neighborhoods in Providence. But what really sets this place apart is the people who work there and those who frequent it.
I walked through the doors for the first time during their opening weekend back in 2021 while a Bears game was playing. Vito immediately struck up a conversation with me, found out I was a Packers fan, and begrudgingly served me anyway. The second time I came in, not only did he remember my name, but he produced from behind the bar a cheesehead beer koozie with my name written on it and a High Life shoved inside.
They care deeply about service here, but they care about their customers even more—and it shows. Because of that, there's a sizable group of regulars who pop in on a daily basis. It's rare that I ever stop by without running into at least three or four people I know personally and have become friends with because this bar exists.
And it's not just the customers they care about. It's obvious that they love their employees too—and the employees love them back. Several of them have told me that this is the only bar they would ever consider working at. They treat them like family and encourage them to share their ideas. You can see their employees' influence on both the cocktail and kitchen menus.
And what a kitchen it is. The food here punches WAY above its weight class and rivals that of any of the other renowned restaurants in Providence. The menu gets updated several times each year, and they're constantly trying out new specials to keep things interesting. The service and atmosphere are second to none, and if I ever leave Providence, this is the place I will undoubtedly...
Read moreI found this bar by accident from a friend's suggestion. It's a pretty nouveau bar in the sense of styling. By this I mean it's a dark bar but with a bar atmosphere pub atmosphere in homey atmosphere all in one. You'll note from some of the pictures that they have albums on the wall in some pretty interesting pictures around scattered around the bar walls. I thought the service was excellent. I think I should have used a different choice on the menu. I got the Mac which was a cheesy steak sandwich. A bit too cheesy for my taste. My friend got a steak sandwich would look much better and very big so the food portions are excellent There is a few TVs around which makes viewing sports really nice. And the crowd to me was between the ages of 25 and 40. I was older in the crowd. If you're looking for a bar, kind of a dark bar colors are all dark and the decor is dark as in color. Dark but comfortable. I would check...
Read moreThe service was great everybody was very accommodating very polite The food is bar food it's not bad I had the West end tacos which was good had a little bit of kick of spice but not bad so if you're into a little bit of spice they're the tacos you want to have My only disappointing review will be the fact that I did ask for a Pacific drink and they denied it which is unusual because it is a bar and every bar that I ever been to has made that drink with no problem so I felt like it wasn't that they didn't want to make it I felt like they didn't know how to make it which is fine everything else was very good very quaint but definitely somewhere you would just stop and go have a couple of drinks maybe have a little appetizer as you can say and then you can go to somewhere else for the main event definitely a place to stop and go but the staff was...
