Housed in a former private home dating from 1790, the Rose and Crown Guesthouse has a quirky charm. Innkeepers Chris and Shannon live on-site; this young couple is friendly and helpful. ||We stayed in the second-floor Crown Room, facing the street. With a beamed cathedral ceiling, that added to its sense of space, the room was comfortable. We never used the small A/C window unit: the ceiling fan and open windows kept us cool. The queen-sized bed gave us five nights of good sleep. Closet space is limited; but this is a beach town, not requiring an elaborate wardrobe. The bathroom is sufficient in size and function. ||Breakfast choices are limited: muffins, cereals, yogurt, breads, OJ, coffee. If you want more, Pop + Dutch, a cafe, is a short walk away. One of the nicest parts of our stay was taking breakfast in the front courtyard, watching the parade of people pass-by. The guesthouse’s WiFi is very good, also strong in the courtyard. ||The Guesthouse’s location on the western end of P’Town’s main thoroughfare, Commercial St., removes it from the honky-tonk area. However, the town’s nightlife and shopping are a short walk away. Being directly across from The Boat Slip, a bar/dance hall fixture at P’Town, has pluses and minuses: it is convenient for attending Tea Dance, but the garbage truck collecting the rubbish early in the morning can...

It was the best week I've spent in Provincetown in the 12 years I've been visiting. I can't wait to go back. |I did a shared bath room and there were no issues. The bed was comfortable. There is a front patio with chairs and tables for great people watching. The location directly across from the boatslip is perfect. The large living room helps when you have a rainy day and just want to stay inside. There is a kitchen area with a good breakfast and fresh made muffins on weekends. And a fridge stocked with sodas and water for just $1 each, saving having to lug those from the Stop & Shop. I can't...
Read moreRose & Crown took great care of us! This is the best stay in ptown for a welcoming, clean, exciting, and an overall fully hosted feeling. The breakfast nook has all your fixings for yogurt, coffee, toast, english muffins, cutie oranges, orange juice, and cereal. I would have been so bored and lost had I stayed anywhere else. I drank coffee every morning on the LOVELY patio, played cards, people watched, and received fabulous dining and adventure suggestions from the great manager and owners. The property is well-taken care of and we felt safe and secure the...
