Visited the store in 2019 and 2021 for the July 4th weekend. Both times chatted with the owner briefly. The merchandise is mostly stuff that was trendy in 2012-2014 (think Ken Folk frozen in time) and the owner gives a pretentious off-putting vibe. Of course I was dressed more rugged than east coast prep and am a millennial as opposed to a young boomer (or geriatric gen x-er). I did make a purchase (small necessary / function items, not decor) both times which makes the attitude somewhat inexcusable for a shopkeeper. Definitely a specific type of person would die for this sort of boutique. However, genuinely expensive homes that are decorated well probably would not have many of these tchotchkes that aren’t genuinely high end.
