They threw me out, then kept my money. Other good reviews here are fine if you don’t play your tv too loud or get on the wrong side of Allison. I was thrown out and not refunded. They banged on my door in the middle of the night because they said their small tv was too loud. I turned it down . The next morning Paul the other owner came loudly banging and screaming at my door. after waking me up , he said I had 15 minutes to get out. I said I couldn’t pack in 15 minutes. He set an alarm for 15 minutes for me to get out then called the police. The police said I didn’t do anything wrong but they couldn’t do anything to help me. It was a holiday week so I wandered the streets till I found a hotel. There was nothing available. I ended up paying much more for a room because it was a holiday week at last minute but only one night was available. I had booked and prepaid 4 months before at Revere Guest House, they threw me out and would give me only one night refund though I prepaid for 9. I had to cut my vacation short because it was too much for me to pay for a new hotel at last minute. They kept my room then booked it to someone else for a lot more money because it was last minute and while keeping my money for the reservation. I begged Paul not to throw me out while he was screaming at me. I said I would keep the tv down. They are extremely cruel people with no empathy. They made a lot of money by throwing me out and keeping my money for the room while booking to someone else. I lost a lot by paying for two rooms one at last minute prices then had to leave town. If you book with them this could happen to you. I don’t know why they did it other than they made a-lot of money by throwing me out then charging twice for the room. Even the police they called felt sorry for me but could do nothing while the owner was screaming at me like a maniac. This could happen to you. Don’t...
Read moreProperty needs updating. The room we stayed in had an old, lumpy mattress well past its prime; awful old bed pillows and scratchy sheets; rough towels. The bedspread on our bed was an old cotton chenille type and it had clearly not been freshly laundered, nor had the shams covering all but two of the pillows in the room. Two windows had no screens and one window painted shut. The bathroom had a tiny shelf under the mirror (maybe 3 inches wide) and it was particle board which had worn and torn on the edge. The radiator at floor level was grossly rusted. Other than the top of a very odd toilet (flushed from top), there was no counter to put anything on. Also, important bathroom rule. Do not leave the remnants of the previous guests toilet paper roll. Very noisy. The breakfast part of the B & B is served in a small shed type building on property. There is no B&B feel to the place, no common indoor room or porch. Basically, there are rooms upstairs which you access by an external set of stairs. The sense we had is the owners do not really want to be operating a Bed and Breakfast where your guests share in a house. That is the model of a B&B. You have a foyer. You have a living room or sitting room or library. You have a dining area. There is an ice machine also located in the hallway from which guests room are entered. Very noisy. The home's kitchen where the owners entertain their own friends/family, was right under our room. Very noisy. The "breakfast" was negligible. Coffee was weak. The day we arrived (afternoon) and were showed the food room in the building in the backyard there were muffins on a table. These were described as leftover from the morning. But they were the same untouched muffins the next morning. Well located steps from Commercial Street. Would not...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend stayed her this past weekend and absolutely love this place. It is in a great location, less than a one block walk to Commercial Street towards the middle of Commercial Street in Ptwon (near Spritos Pizza). The property is immaculate, on a nice quiet street and very cute and well kept. Our room was so cute with a modern cottage feel. The room was immaculate, cozy, comfortable and comfortable. There is a nice size small refrigerator in the room which was nice and they have an ice machine in the hallway. There are also glasses, wine glasses, and wine bottle openers on a chest near the ice machine. There is off-street parking which is also very nice. The backyard/courtyard area is adorable with a fire pit and small round tables and chairs w/umbrellas to also sit at. Next to the courtyard is the breakfast cottage which is beautiful and so cute. It has a couch and table sitting area, long buffet cabinet with lots of breakfast choices and they also put out 3 warm food choices each morning which were delicious (home fries, bacon and a different scrambled egg dish each day). They also have the muffin of the day, amongst all the other cold choices (cereals, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs, etc). The breakfast cottage is open 24/7 with many of the items available 24/7 in the fridge, along with juice and coffee. The breakfast cottage is a fabulous little extra. The innkeepers Allison and Paul are awesome!! Thank you very much for an outstanding stay and I will definitely be back again this year !!! I am so glad I found this place and made by surprise engagement proposal weekend with my girlfriend an amazing weekend. This was her first time to Ptown and she absolutely loved it and absolutely loved the Revere...
