DOES NOT ALLOW NATIVE/CURRENT PUEBLO PEOPLE TO STAY HERE.
My husband and I had a work event downtown Pueblo and decided to book a room at this hotel to not have to drive home. Unfortunately, upon arriving at 10PM that evening to check in, the front desk worker informed us that her manager, Alandra Huerra (guessing the spelling because I wasn’t given a card), told her to deny and cancel our stay due to us being native to Pueblo / currently living in Pueblo. The manager said it was company policy to not allow people who live in Pueblo to stay at this hotel. When we asked to speak to the manager, the front desk woman told us that when she called the manager on the phone, that she had told her not to call back because she was sleeping and that company policy is company policy.
Not only is it absolute insanity for a company to deny a person a room because they live in the same city as the hotel, but the rudeness and absolute unprofessional manner of the manager to not even discuss this with us is beyond unacceptable. They even still are trying to charge us for the room, which I am disputing with my credit card.
This was the only hotel in downtown that had rooms available that night. Now I know why.
I will continue to inform other Pueblo folks of the hotels audacity to deny the local community and request others...
Read moreWhy does this place only have 3 stars? It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 1-week Colorado national park tour, and, frankly, one of the nicest Marriott properties we've ever stayed in.||It's brand new -- a staff member mentioned that the property has only been open for a couple of months -- and everything is in perfect condition: fresh, clean, fluffy, and undented, like moving into a new house.||The rooms are spacious (for a hotel room), and thoughtfully designed. For example: most hotel rooms these days use a solid bed frame so that personal items can't get lost underneath the bed. This one had a small niche carved out on one side, to allow a small suitcase to be tucked away. Everything felt modern, and fresh, but also functional. Expect a real (but tiny) dishwasher, and half-sized fridge.||I enjoyed the breakfast (I appreciated the cage-free eggs), which could be eaten in the nicest hotel breakfast room I've ever seen, or the lovely patio outside, with a firepit. ||For those who complained about the location: we needed to stay midway between Great Sand Dunes National Park and Denver airport, and was appreciative of the ability to stop in Pueblo. There just weren't any other hotels along our route. I was thankful to find a nice hotel, and I'm sure the city was happy to add another...
Read moreThe hotel itself is nice. I live in hotels for work, that said I have nvr had staff that was so intrusive. They wanted in my room bad. They would wake me up even though I made it very clear I work 13hr nights and desperately needed the sleep. They would wake me simply to try to get into my room. Again I live in hotels and have never damaged a room or had the staff be so invasive. It was a very unwanted and unique experience.
Edit: Since posting this review originally this behavior has continued. I will get calls from the front desk in the middle of my sleep hrs, they call and pretend I ordered a room cleaning and that they are "making sure I still want it." Or they leave notes on my door about it. I FEEL LIKE MY POSSESSIONS ARENT SAFE WHILE IM AT WORK, and I cant really sleep while im off work.
I have let staff into the room to show them its clean and that Im hiding nothing, the behaviour still continues. Im basically paying these ppl to interrupt my sleep and treat me like I am guilty of some unknown crime.
Whoever runs this place has a deep narcissistic psychopathy. Its really that bad, DO NOT STAY HERE FOR...
