Playa Azul Beach Tower III — Local services in Puerto Rico

I enjoy this place but management needs to revitalize these building's. Elevators rarely work. There's only two. If one works you will either have to walk up a flight if the elevator doesn't go directly to your floor. A lot of times the elevators do not work at all. They are in desperate need of new elevators. The hall areas need updated decor. Mailboxes are mostly broken. Doorman isn't present during late evening hours. During day hours there are some who can be rude. The grounds are very nice. The door to the beach locks at a certain time ask before you go what time it closes so you will not have to walk the neighborhood to get around to the front of buildings to get back in. Especially if it's dark outside. Apartments could use a lot of updating for the price they charge to stay. Spacious apartments with excellent coastal views and rainforest. Stayed in a 3bedroom 2 bathroom apartment included kitchen dining living room areas. You can hear waves inside it is very tranquil. Private Pool basketball courts and doorway to beach. Security enclosed to enter parking lot. Security at door of building as well. Note these buildings are old and in need of major repairs. Area is a tourist area. Suggest rental car for your trip. Awesome place. The view is spectacular. Rainforest in the back and the ocean in the front. The beach in front can be rough at times, but great for body surfing. Apartments are individually owned so some are better furnished than others. Nevertheless, all of them are equipped with a kitchen and all you need to cook. For a calmer, swimming pool style, no wave beach go to El Balneario just 3/4 miles away which is beautiful. Hurricane Maria caused some damage to the complex as well as the palm trees, but it is slowly recovering. We recently stayed here while on vacation and the building itself is not in the best condition. Their elevators are in poor condition and deteriorating. It is not safe and am surprised they have residents using them. The buttons barley work and it doesn't display the correct level you stop at. The inspection certificate was also expired. There is no AC in the building also which makes it uncomfortable in the hot and humid weather. The only good thing about it was the view we had.
