Vince's Motel — Hotel in Rancho Cordova

Sometimes my schedule doesn’t compliment my housemates social demands. So when I learn some house guests are coming who aren’t my favorite people it’s nice to have a go-to motel that doesn’t break the bank. Vince’s Motel fits that need perfectly. There’s always been a vacancy when I’ve needed a room. The employees are exceptionally polite and very accommodating, which has become a rarity in Sacramento. The deposit is the lowest in town, perhaps the region and returned on check out. They welcome dogs as long as they are well behaved and you clean up after them. The other guests vary, from colorful characters to somewhat scary, but I’ve never had any issues. There’s plenty of parking close to your room. A popular pizza place is next door and other food and fuel options are close by. The rooms could use some TLC. They always have clean white linens and towels. The floors are mopped and clean, as are the other surfaces. Each room features chairs or small sofa and an occasional table in addition to the nightstands, chest of drawers and desk standard in every room. Unfortunately you don’t have to look very long to notice there’s a lot of deferred maintenance issues. Everything works but may not be pretty. Personally I find the contrast of this place compared to home exciting. I’ve met interesting people from all walks of life and enjoyed their stories and alternative view points. So if you’re in the area and need a place to stay for under a bill all in, this is not just your only option but a darn good one as well. ...

I stayed in one of your rooms on Tues nite 3/2, room 205 to be exact. Disappointing would be an understatement and if I didn't need a local room for the night with internet access I would've demanded a refund and left. I couldn't even eat my burrito. The cockroaches were my main concern they were huge, freakin admit the fact that you need an exterminator! The large fridge has a very loud motor, my tv remote had duct tape to hold the batteries in place, there is duct tape over the peep hole on the door, and I was afraid to walk on the carpet because I didn't know if the stains were from dead roaches or what, but that was definitely the worst motel room i've ever slept in. I actually slept with the main light on so the roaches wouldn't come out and take over, they appeared to be coming out of the armoir wher the tv is. When I went down to the front desk to ask if you had roach spray or bug spray available the kid looked and could'nt find it but the next morning upon checking out the guy said it's right here and reached up to a shelf right off the back side of the counter and grabbed the can of raid(after stating that there were no roaches in the room) I understand you folks wanting to defend against having cockroaches, but if there is an infestation then admit it, at checkout I was offered a discount upon my next visit but that I won't ever come back to that place. I'll sleep outside first. As business owners in the hospitality field you folks suck! However the internet connection was very strong...

I stayed there on 1/6/17. The room was clean and at check in the staff was polite. However I left two goose down feather pillows there and when I called about them less than 8 hours later I was told that they were not in the room. I asked if they could check with the maid but was told that my room was not cleaned as it received maintenance the day following my stay. I was told to call back the next day to further inquire about my missing items. I did exactly that and received horrible customer service from a woman named Linda. She thought she put me on hold but I could hear her talking to the staff and discussing that they could not locate my pillows and to just tell me that they were thrown away. First and foremost I inquired less than 8 hours after checkout about my left behind items and when I followed up as told to do so by their staff I got poor customer service and was told my brand new pillows were thrown away because they were to quote dirty. My room was not even used the day after my stay so as to why the hotel could not hold my item in lost and found for even 24 hours is beyond me and I was told that the hotel has no intentions of making this right as I should not of left any items.
