Clear Space Theatre Company — Attraction in Rehoboth Beach

We always have a great time here whether it be a play or musical and some of the regular cast are so amazingly gifted. It's a small theater and similar to theater in the round but with only three sides. Despite their small space and size, they have never failed to entertain me. Ashley made my leg hairs grow back with her rendition of "Heaven on Their Minds" as Judas in JCS. Saw her the very next week as Pearl Crabs in the SpongeBob Musical and she was as delightful and believable there too. Christopher Decker....we knew he was multi-talented, an obvious choice for the role of Jesus...but we didn't know he could sing like that! Leilani A as a Annas in JCS and then Plankton in SpongeBob was also amazing. That these actors and dancers and singers can switch between these roles so believably during the summer season, when 3 productions run in tandem, is a testament to their talent and dedication. Located on Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, Clear Space Theater Company was founded in 2004 and presents many shows throughout the year.

The producers and actors are all talented and enthusiastic locals. Their annual performances include children’s productions, musicals, contemporary dramas, old classics, and several holiday programs that are perennial favorites.

The company also offers a wide variety of courses and programs for budding actors on a year-round basis; they’ve been specifically designed with a wide range of ages in mind.

Kids classes not the best. My granddaughter, age 9, participated in a class last year and does not want to go there this year. She said the woman in charge would yell and reprimand them and picked on one child. My Granddaughter said this child had a disability and thus was slower . This is not a behavior she liked; nor do I.

She will not be attending this year or ever again.
