We stayed at the Richland Riverfront Hotel for a union event, traveling over 200 miles to get there. The drive took a little over five hours due to construction, but it was very scenic, and we even spotted a few places to stop at on the way home. The hotel itself is beautiful. We arrived late, but check-in was quick and smooth, with staff who were polite, kind, and welcoming. Checkout was even easier. The hotel offers more than just the basics—there’s a continental breakfast that goes beyond coffee and cereal, and the food catered for our event was absolutely delicious. Amenities were a highlight. There’s a dedicated game room for kids, a large outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi, and bike rentals so you can enjoy a ride or walk along the Columbia River trail. They also have basketball courts, plenty of parking with valet service if needed, and a small store in case you forgot any essentials. The location is excellent too—close to downtown shops and the riverfront. Our stay from Friday night to Sunday morning was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel was clean overall, though it could be just a little better maintained. That minor detail aside, I would have given this hotel a five-star rating.

I wasn't expecting much for the price. But I was pleasantly surprised at how clean comfortable and nice the king suite room was. The pool is nice and the proximity to the river walk is perfect. We really enjoyed Richland. I wish we could have stayed longer, but it was just for a night. The hotel has great amenities as well, a game room with xboxes, a store, nice outdoor patio area and the continental breakfast was nice as well. We would definitely enjoy coming back.

We stayed over memorial day weekend and had soooo much FUN. There are bike rentals, a super sweet pool, and an amenity center with table games and game room. Rooms are nicely updated and CLEAN. We tried the adjoining restaurant and it had amazing food and was fairly inexpensive. It was nice to just be able walk through the lobby to pick up our order. There was also a pretty decent free breakfast. Pet friendly. 10/10 highly recommend. Great value ❤

When you get a room, what can you expect? Cleanliness, lack of smells, amenities? There is a SMELL, some kind of “MUSTY SMELL” I suspect it’s from the pool which room faces with a set of POOLS n Hot tub. For some reason it seemed to be worse earlier in the morning. Maybe the A/C unit? IDK

  1. Certainly a comfortable bed which it had and good pillows. 2) Rooms seemed clean and good amenities. 3) Dining/lounge was boom toons as I checked in at 950pm, I asked the front desk what’s going on in the Dining/lounge? Sounds like a good time. Drinks? Possibly apps food? They said oh no the owners like to party when they close at 10 PM. So they sit in there with their buddies and girls and blast the music so everybody else can hear the bass resonate. (privately and separate from the hotel yet it’s inside the hotel building and premises) So I walked in there. 10pm I Thought I would invite myself and join whatever’s going on because I just had a long trip and looking for a place to relax in a nice atmosphere. But they said exactly what the front desk said, we’re closed. Sorry (you’re not invited) they didn’t say that part. So I didn’t bother to patronize them during my three day two nights day.
  2. I didn’t get to find out how good the continental breakfast because I had to getup and start work early :-(. 5) 4 to 5 homeless people hanging out in the back steps right next to rooms on their phones with their bicycles n trailers and dogs. I assume using the motels Wi-Fi? Because they were staying there? I don’t know for sure. Maybe doing drug deals? I’ve seen that a lot at motels, like that doesn’t happen ever or since the last few years at motels. 6) Real nice view of the river (not from my room) and walking paths right out the back of property with shaded...

Before I say -anything- else. The staff was always polite and kind and wonderful.

The furniture felt cheap and many legs etc were loose. the futon didnt lock upright properly and needed a wall to brace against, nevermind it was the cheapest futon mattress ive ever sat on and hurt my butt and back. It never once felt comfortable.

The refrigerator door, despite being easily reversible, opened the wrong way for easy access in the kitchen, i had to step over into the "livingroom" area to get into refrigerator. If they had reversed the door the refrigerator would have opened to be better accessible from the kitchen.

The volume on the tv was locked and way far too quiet.

The arrangement of the room was terrible, who puts the TV on a wall the couch isnt even pointed at? The TV was flat mounted?! Why?! I could barely see the TV from the whirlpool tub, and the positioning meant it was cut off for half the bed. If it had been on an articulating arm I could at least have turned the TV to point at the whirlpool tub or the terrible futon.

The sink area in the bathroom was simultaneously too big and too small for the room. It was insanely large for that tiny bathroom, but there was a huge gap between the sink and the wall on the back side behind the toilet where stuff could easily fall down and get trapped.

The shower head didnt point down far enough so i had to stand at the rear of the shower uncomfortably to get the stream on my body, oh and it was half clogged with hard water deposits.

All in all, i was very disappointed for my first time ever splurging on a suite.

Will i stay at this hotel again next year?...

I booked a two night stay here in one of the first floor King Suites with a 2 person jacuzzi tub. After the first night stay. I specifically went to the front desk just after 12pm to request my room be serviced, specifically to make sure the tub was cleaned. I left the location and returned about 3pm, to find someone from either house keeping or the front desk had entered my room and placed the “do not disturb” sign on my door, and did not service the room. I went back to the front desk and made the young lady aware of the situation, and she said she would make sure it was taken care of. I left the hotel again to return about 6pm to find the room still had not been serviced. I went to the front desk to be told that housekeeping had already left for the day and all he could offer me was to change rooms. Which meant me packing all of my belongings again and moving. So I said that if unacceptable and I would handle it with the front desk upon check out. Well upon check out the front desk said that only the General Manager could do any type of refund. So I tried to call and talk with this lady for 2 days straight, even if she was available she would not talk with me. To be told she would have her front desk supervisor investigate. To then find out that the front desk supervisor does not come on duty until 3pm, which is after the time the housekeeping staff is gone. To again be told that she, the front desk supervisor, cannot authorize any type of refund, if will have to be the General Manager. If this is the level of service you give to your guest on a regular basis. You should not be a...
