I felt this was the closest I could ever get to “custom” shoes and fitment besides actually getting custom fitted shoes made for my feet specifically. I did not feel at all pressured to buy anything. On the contrary I actually kind of attempted to potentially buy another pair of insoles and the associate really let me know a better holistic approach to what I was seeking rather then sell me more product. I think that is healthy for business because it builds trust and confidence that they are not after my money, but after my well being. The 3D foot scan and pressure point mat was so cool, and especially that it is provided for free, (as far as I knew, no indication of a potential charge was made if a purchase was not made). It really made me feel like my foot and needs were being understood. The rep then brought out 3 pairs of shoes, how he figured which ones I don’t know necessarily, but we tried all 3 on. He mentioned insoles would potentially be a good help and brought a couple pairs out for me to test on the floor and decide what I felt would be better. I made a decision and then that insole I chose was used in each pair of shoes I tried on. They hold the shoe open for you, tie the laces, and just overall felt like I was appreciated as a customer. The main insole they carry is Superfeet which is a well known reputable brand. They pull off a pair of socks from the wall and have you use them to try on the shoes. I don’t know if I would have had to buy them if I hadn’t made a purchase, and I also would have probably preferred being able to pick a pair of socks, but then again maybe they pick them because you aren’t forced to buy them so they pick the less expensive pair, which all socks they carry are top brand running socks, so it’s not that they are cheap, I just imagine if someone doesn’t buy them well they don’t lose as much money. Either way in the end, I felt appreciated, I felt all my needs were met, I felt the rep had the best knowledge and training he could have to guide me along the process, and I made a purchase of shoes, insoles, and 5 pairs of socks. I have absolutely fallen more in love with running now, it definitely makes a difference and I am so grateful for my new running investment. I’ve been running for over a year now and since then, this is my first official investment in running shoes and gear, and I couldn’t be more excited and happy! Even at a point I was asked about any knee pain, I let him know what I was feeling, and at one point he watched me run lightly in each shoe and was able to recognize a lack of support I was needing in 2 of the shoes, and recognize the support being met in the other, which is the pair I ended up purchasing. I will be back for all my future run needs. Also I had my 3 sons with me 3/5/7 and I felt very comfortable having them with me. The environment was friendly towards them. I believe my associate was Daniel....
Read morePositive first. My initial experience with FF was exceptional, so I brought my wife back a month later. It's an hour drive for us. It was busy, too busy for their short staff to make time for everyone, so customer service a disaster. Again no fault of the employees. The fittings there are great, when you have someone attending to you, but those fittings take time. It really should be by appointment only. Im sure ownership wants walk-ins., but the wait and ultimately being left on our own to not only fit each shoe with the custom insoles, but 2/3 of the shoes were display models that we had to track down in the store ourselves. I became my wife's shoe gofer and set up guy. We both spend $270 each on a pair of shoes, insoles and socks. Thats a lot of dough to not get the kind of customer service experience we were expecting, and I wouldn't make the hour drive again. My guess is that this happens regularly when the get a lot of walk-ins. It's too bad that they put their employees on that position....You either have great customer service, or you sacrifice it to...
Read moreExcellent service! I went in to just look at what shoes they had with no intention of buying. We were greeted by Donovan with a friendly smile who told us a bit about the services there and how they map your feet to get the best possible shoes and inserts for you. I was very intrigued. I have planters fasciitis in both my feet and have never heard of such a thing. I asked if they could do it in 10 minutes because they closed and Donovan said he’d stay open for me. I was then also greeted by the store manager who assured me that time didn’t matter as much as finding the right shoes. I have been to many shoe stores and non of them could tell me what would be best for my feet. I left with a pair of shoes that made my feet very happy so much I didn’t want to take them off. I have never had that experience. I usually can’t wait to take off my shoes due to my feet hurting....
