This is the first negative online review I have ever written. As a Veteran and First Responder, it is has been my privilege to serve our country and now, my local area. I try to support local businesses as much as possible. This time, however, I believe my wife and I were taken advantage of by Mattress Firm Riverbank. I injured my back 3 months ago and was out of work over a month. We went to Mattress Firm to get a mattress with better back support for my wife and I. With the encouragement of a friendly salesman, we decided to try a high end Purple mattress, making an investment of way more $ than we ever have before. Our understand in making this financial leap, is that we could return in within 120 days, no questions asked, for a $99 fee. Again, because this was a financial stretch for us, we asked a lot of questions to make sure we understood this. After a couple months, we decided this mattress was not for us, and let Mattress Firm Riverbank know we wanted to return it. They told us we would owe $599 to return it, not $99! I argued that we had also bought box springs, a mattress cover and pillows, that they were making some $ that way. Didn't matter, they insisted on the $599 charge. This was not explained by the "friendly" salesman. We will vote with our feet and stay away from Mattress Firm...

I'm going to tell you my experience at mattress firm in riverbank California. As I was calling around I called mattress firm in riverbank California and I got a hold of a salesman name Shane. He is one of the salesman at the store. Talk to him for a couple days and explain to him what I was looking for. He seemed very knowledgeable on the products the store had and was very interested in helping me find what I was looking for. Once we decided on what would be a good fit for me I went to the store to take a look at the product. When I met Shana he was very professional and knew all about the products they had at the store and once again what was probably going to be the right fit for me . And he worked with me to get me the best price because finances are tight and times are hard in this economy. This experience was just on the salesman and the store mattress firm. I haven't received my product yet I'm supposed to get it deliver tomorrow and then I will try to write another review about the mattress. I will post a picture of the product I bought. We were greeted by Taylor, and she educated us on how mattresses fit each body differently, especially men and women. Several hours were spent trying the various mattresses laying on each one and rolling from side to back. Seeing how they supported the spine and how they my alignment was when on my side. We eventually decided on the Purple mattress, but we also wanted an adjustable bed. We decided on a split king so we could have the ability to adjust our bed individually. A few days later it was delivered and we loved it at first but the biggest problem was we our cuddlers and there's a huge gap that continues to grow daily between the beds. We called them and explained our situation and since it was within our 100 nights guarantee they were willing to exchange the mattresses for a nominal fee.
