If I could I would give zero stars!! TLDR: Tereible service wont be going back again! My first time in there I was buying a switch and some games. Obviously the were some questions but every time we asked one the guy would just walk away!! We almost left, but ended up spending close to $600 thinking it was just a bad day. Half the thing he swore we needed....we didn't actually need. The next time I went in I tried to do a preorder but there was nobody in sight, so I left after waiting for 5 minutes. Just this week though, we went in and tried again. We had decent service but thru seemed more into themselves than us and only acknowledged us to make a sale. Today I went in to pick up the preorder... My boyfriend called ahead of time to let them know I'dbe getting it. I got there and they told me that I cant pick up my game because I'm not a primary on the account and nobody ever called. It took some arguing but he finally gave me my game and then he took down all the information on my driver's license because I'm now "a liability". Then he asked me to get the protection plan. When I said no he argued with me saying that he thinks that I should get it. It took me saying no 5 times before he got the point. Then he tried to get me to renew the account saying it expired the first week of November....well we checked that and it's not expiring for 3 more months! He argued with me on that too. Read moreI've gone to this gamestop multiple times over this year just because it's one of the gamestops around here that closes the latest. I've been meaning to write an honest review for this place a while now.
I am a frequent gamestop customer always have been. This particular gamestop has probably got to be the worst. The workers there don't know their products, they are indeed rude, they lack greeting you on your way in and out (I don't care too much for this but it would be nice to get a hello welcome to gamestop! When you're the only one in the store), and they give you a hard time saying they can't accept returns or exchanges without a physical receipt even though they just saw you the day before and can see on your account that you purchased said item.
Gamestops a gamestop for me. I go there knowing what I want or like to window shop. But the customer service or just the workers in general suck. Not all of them! There's maybe 1 guy there who seems alright.
The skinny white guy just wants you to buy something and leave. He seems like he hates being there. The girl there is totally useless, doesn't know anything about games or the products. Long story short they can't even tell me why their screen protectors for the switch went up 3 dollars, told me I could swap a pop I just bought but then said oh wait no you can't, etc. I don't ever want to go here again unless I have to or they have something I'm looking for. My child was overjoyed the first week or so until the cartridge reader came off. GameStop fixes hardware just enough to last 15 days and throws their hands up that they don’t save transactions if you’re not a member. Classic bait and switch except it only screwed me and made me look bad to my child. So much technicality involved for the sale of enjoyment and video-games.
