At certain times of the year, you can get ears of sweet corn at 5 for $1 if you don't mind digging through the large boxes that are brought out by forklift a couple of time during the day (the earlier, the better when the temperatures head into the triple digits by early afternoon, and perhaps getting your uncovered arms a bit itchy in the process. The highlight of a visit to Rodin Farms is free-sampling from the large variety of flavored almonds, cashews, pistachios, peanuts and corn nuts that they make themselves, in addition to dried fruits and such. Of course, their pumpkin patch is a hit with the kids come Halloween, and they tend to have a fireworks stand setup nearby next to their almond orchard. By far one of the best fruit stands in the entire Stanislaus county area. Their quality is extremely high I've been going there for years and Antoinette the owner is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I've had the privilege of being in charge one local family markets and they were one of the easiest vendors to work with as everybody love their quality and friendly service. They have a large selection of fruits and vegetables that they grow or source locally. I also would have to say that they have a fantastic choice of dried and freshly jarred goods sourced locally not in a large.
