This place deserves ZERO STARS...||I booked 6 weeks out for Halloween weekend. At that time, the rates were $75 a night. So I booked for three nights thru Expedia. The option I was given was to pay upon arrival. ||Night before check in, I called this hotel and talked to a gentleman who was very short with me on the phone and treated me like I was bothering him. I called to confirm my reservation and to make sure that there were zero Hiccups. He said that the "internet was down" and he "couldn't access the reservation at this time". Told me to call back tomorrow. ||The next day was check in day and I called around noon. The same gentleman answered and said that the reservation was "canceled because we didn't pay for the room yet". ||I explained to him that the agreement was to pay at the property upon check-in per the contract that he has with Expedia. He then said he canceled cause there was no credit card on file. I explained to him that he could have used the credit card on my Expedia account. He said that's not HIS responsibility and he didn't want to be left holding a room with no deposit. I then explained to him that he didn't even give me the curtesy to wait till check in time to see if I would even show (3pm). He just kept repeating himself and then I asked him to just take the credit card over the phone and he said that he would have to charge me the going rate of $178 a night for three nights. Then it instantly dawned on me what he was doing.. trying to rip me off. ||||He cancels the $75 a night that I booked back in mid September and charges me $178 the current going rate. ||||I called Expedia and they called him and they told me that there was nothing they could do cause it wasn't their hotel and gave me a $100 credit for another booking. They even tried to book another hotel in that area at the rate of $75, but all the hotels were around $200 per night and weren't gunna give anyone a break. ||I called the hotel back and told him that what he was doing was crooked and he said he "heard it all before" and asked me if I still wanted the room at $178. So I hung up on him. ||Reading other reviews, this is something he does routinely. Takes advantage of people after he puts them in a...
Read moreI’ve personally never stayed here so I cannot say that this review is 100% accurate in regards to the rooms and the condition of them. What I can say is true is that this place must be what they call a two star one star motel because of the clientele base that they bring in. I live in the surrounding area and there is so much homelessness in transit people That hang around this motel. No, it is not entirely their problem but yes at the same time they can do something to clean it up as well as bring in a better clientele base, but they don’t. I also have friends who work in law-enforcement as well people who just have heard on the street really bad things about this place, including like the rooms had bedbugs again I can’t promise the accuracy of this. I personally am a manager myself in regards to property management and we take pride at my facility to make sure that it is clean. We do that with the landscape we even go out of our way to pick up the trash. If we have any problems with homelessness, we take care of the problem or kick them out or reach out to you know source is available to assist in that. Though you cannot control everybody who walks in at the same time you can with how you tolerate. So please do Riverside a favor and clean up your motel. It will be better for everybody all around. The poor businesses and apartments located near this place have to up their security now. I’m pretty sure this is also the hotel where that one guy who got arrested recently with the car jack he went to because they happen to find the vehicle right in the same intersection. If not then again you know that’s the kind of people they allowed and bring in. If you don’t believe me just drive by and see yourself...
Read moreThis isn't somewhere you should ever go if you're just looking for a decent place to stay. I was forced into it because it was the only vacancy around, and I can see why. First room I was assigned had graffiti and holes all over the walls and furniture, not as decoration but people just did it. Toilet had no tank topper and just had a piece of cardboard with more graffiti, prostitute numbers written on the headboard... Really everything you could think of. Asked if they had anything nicer, and to their credit they gave me something better. That's a low bar though. Only issues with this room are a missing bathroom door handle, vent cover in the bathroom is missing so it's just a hole, one light is out so it's dim in there as well, shower drains super duper slowly, tub has zero texture so you're slipping and sliding the whole time, the bar soap might as well be plastic it's useless. Bed is your standard motel bed, though I have a single king and I'm 90% sure the linens are meant for a queen. AC/heater works well, and if you care the TV has unguarded HDMI ports. Only stay here if you have literally no other option, unless you're looking for...
