Ok Tofu House — Restaurant in Riverside

Took my parents and brother here today and we really enjoyed! We usually go to BCD, but we didn’t want to drive out to OC and decided to try this place out. We got the dumpling soup, tripe soup, and seafood soup. I took a sip from every soup and I think seafood was the best! They’re all delicious though! They all came with their side of rice, a scallion pancake for each person, an egg per person, and some delicious veggie sides for the group to share. The veggie sides can be refilled when empty. The pancakes are just one per person. They were soooooo good. I was reading previous reviews that complained about them having terrible costumer service so I was a little nervous to go, but I realize now what they actually meant. No, you will not be tended to every five minutes. They basically sit you down, take your order, give it to you and leave you alone till you ask for the check. Most folks don’t like feeling “ignored” or not tended to, but I loved the service and didn’t feel that way at all. I personally hate when I get approached every five minutes while I’m trying to enjoy my meal with my family. Or when I’m mid bite and they try to talk to me. They basically let you do your thing and if you want something, you’re going to have to speak up. Sharing this so that people know what to expect! They’re not rude, they just do what they have to and let you be which I personally prefer. Anyway, food was delicious and we all left...

The food here is delicious and decent for a tofu house. I ordered the extra spicy dumpling tofu soup and it was actually as "extra spicy" as it claims. My girlfriend ordered the original tofu soup and the side dishes were tasty. For the price offered, the portions are reasonable. However, the service was incredibly poor. After we were seated, it took 10 minutes after we decided for the waitress to take our orders. Throughout our meal, they never came by to check on us or see that we wanted more side dishes or water. We called the waiters several times but each time they said they would get back to us, only to start cleaning empty booths across the restaurant. They kept ignoring us until we asked again for the 5th time and after we received our bill, they did not even say anything. I have visited before and would love to come back but they should work on putting in more effort in being attentive and courteous to...

It's An Okay Place. It's Just Misleading. Having Tofu In The Restaurant Name Gave Me The Impression That There Were A Variety Of Vegetarian Options. But There Was Only One Item To Choose From That Was Vegetarian. After Asking The Server For Substitution And Trying To See If I Can Get Anything Other Then Broccoli Soup. He Got Upset And Never Came Back Again. This Place Also Gives Small Appetizers To Start Off With, Which Was Cool. But I Asked A Different Server If It Was Vegetarian Friendly, She Said It Was Fish Cake At First But Then Said That It Didn't Have Fish After I Seemed Hesitant To Eat It. I Didn't Eat It For Fear That It Might Contain Fish And They Were Just Concealing It. Being A Vegetarian For 10 Years, It Would Of Hurt My Stomach. I Had The Vegetable Soup And Got A Really Bad Stomach Ache Anyways. Definitely Not Vegetarian Friendly. Service Is Bad If You're Different Than What...
