Crooked Pint Ale House — Restaurant in Rochester

Been to this place quite a few times and have always left satisfied. Wait staff is great and Kenny the bartender was awesome one afternoon when we sat at the bar. He was very informative about the menu and all of the great beers they have on tap. We love the tap takeover nights where they load up their taps with numerous varieties of a certain brewery. Great way to sample different beer styles. The food is great. Everything from good apps to great burgers to filling comfort food. The new mac and cheese skillet was great with a side of their buffalo sauce. Also a great place to see a game. Lots of TV's and they have been very accommodating to change the channel of the tv closest to me to watch a random hockey game. I will say that we were there one night when they were hosting a UFC fight night party of some sort so most of the tv's were broadcasting guys beating each other bloody and unconscious which is not very appetizing for a lot of people. My wife and I and some friends had a drink and left because UFC doesn't appeal to us but if it does to others then The Crooked Pint is your place. Trivia night was a reason to go back. Bad Service, very dissapointed! I went in for their Surly tap take over just to get a glass of Darkness. A bartender comes over right away and I order my glass of Darkness. I am sitting on my phone waiting patiently knowing that he has other customers to take care of. I am in no rush. Some guys come sit down next to me after I've been there for five minutes or so and place their order. Five more minutes come by and the same bartender who took my order comes back and asks if I know what I want. I remind him I already have ordered a glass of Darkness. The men sitting next to me get their glasses (one of them being Darkness). Remember they came in five min after me and ordered after me. A few minutes later my bartender comes back by and tells me they are all out of Darkness. He tries to tell me that most of the people here are ordering Darkness so it is to be expected. I then point out the men that came in after me but still got served Darkness. His response was "I didn't pour for them." I know the tap runs out, but I am upset that he forgot about me and my order and that is the reason I didn't get served. I was only their for a glass of...

I have had an ignition interlock device restriction on my Drivers license for almost two years. I have never once been refused an alcoholic beverage in any dining establishment over these two years. Including my multiple stops at this very location, until today. I have spent my entire adult life working in and patronizing restaurants of all kinds and I have never been aware of any rules which prohibit a bar from selling alcohol to someone with this type of restriction, or any situation where a bar would lose ita liquor license for doing so. This restriction is not one which does not allow me to drink. This restriction simply says I am required to have a breathalyzer in my vehicle. Nothing more or less than that. I am also aware that a bar can choose to refuse service to any person for any reason, however this is an extremely poor business practice. Unfortunately, I am the kind of person who takes these things to heart and not only will I never return here, I will tell everyone I know never to go here.
