We recently spent five days at this hotel over New Year's weekend for our son's wedding in the area. Can't say enough good things about this hotel or the staff that helped us. We had multiple rooms, numerous special requests, and also made use of the hotel's meeting room. The hotel was clean and well cared for, rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was hot, tasty, and well-stocked. The kids loved nice, clean pool and the chocolate chip cookies that came out hot every afternoon.
We had a variety of rooms, and in the week prior to our stay had to make several changes, requests for adjoining rooms, etc. Carly, Emily, and the entire front desk team did everything we asked and made it easy for guests arriving at various times to have a smooth check-in. The staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, happily took a large number of welcome bags we prepared for our wedding guests and delivered them to each room, and kept the meeting room well stocked for us.
The guest rooms were very affordable, and the location was easy to find and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Try the Greenfire, just a mile away, fun and delicious place to dine! When our travels bring us the area again we will look forward to staying here again. My husband travels extensively for business, and was extremely impressed by the service and accommodations. Thanks to the Holiday Inn Loves Park team for making such a special weekend for our family...

They also had a variety of drinks- hot coffee (vanilla/hazelnut creamers & half & half), hot tea & juices (orange, apple & cranberry). To our total surprise they just started an Hors d'oeuvres bar in the evening with nachos (with sour cream, salsa & guac), potato chips, charcuterie tray (sliced deli meats, sliced cheeses, olives, crackers), fresh fruit salad, cucumber salad, meatballs and cookies!! They even included cans of Coke and Sprite. All for FREE!! Great snack after a very long drive which was MUCH appreciated!! When you factor a free breakfast and ādinnerā into the cost, you just canāt beat the price!! They have a nice size heated pool as well. The staff were all very friendly! The Holiday Inn Express in Rockford is easy on/off the freeway. Across from Costco. This hotel is our go to stop ALWAYS on the way out to see our family in MN!! We highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor the cost of the stay the inside environment was not worth it. The parking lot had construction trucks with materials. We could not walk into the building on the main walkway as someone was power washing the area. We had to come in using the side of the main entrance. The lobby was a mess with black tarps hanging and pounding, drilling, and lots of chatter. Very unappealing first impression.impression. Front desk service attendant did her best while working in area that was obviously in the being stage of updated. I felt sorry for her as she was doing what she could with what she had left that was not a mess. The elevator due to construction was the only means to second floor as construction prevented you from using the stairs. Elevator was very slow. The only ice machine was on first, third, and forth floors. Our room was on the second floor. The inside of the room was very out dated. The furniture was old looking with many wear marks. Electrical outlets were in the wrong place. Hard to us electronics for two people while resting in the bed. The bath room was nothing special. The the steep cost of the hotel room could have put me into a nicer hotel as there were many in the area. With renovation inconvenience the cost should have been discounted. I can only summarize the high fee must be paying for...
