It was busy, as I expected. Parking was a mess. We watched a Sysco truck nearly back into several vehicles attempting to turn around. After waiting 30 minutes, watching customers who ordered after us had finished their meals, I asked where the meal was. No response. I asked again, and they told me they asked. I asked one more time and they told me they "lost" the order. Not sure how you "lose" an order, but you should have told me the first time. The manager insisted he would have the food ready soon. That's great, but I requested a refund - the time to get the food to me had passed. Even after that, he attempted to pass off some sort of customer service recovery coupons. No thank you, I won't be coming back, even with a coupon. You failed this opportunity to make a customer. Unsurprisingly, they couldn't even process the return correctly, and only processed the order they placed back-of-house as a corporate comp. I had to return for them to process my refund after reviewing my receipts. The lady handling it seemed annoyed and asked if I wanted to leave an email address and they'll let me know when it was done. I requested she do it immediately. If they could not handle the refund correctly the first time when I was present, then I had zero confidence they could do it without me watching. The guy who was some kind of dining room attendant completely ignored my family and me. He walked by and appeared to be checking on everyone else. This was very rude and pretty off-putting. The restaurant was nice enough, but it was hard to use the kiosks with the sun coming in from the massive windows. The design of the interior of the bathroom is a mess, as is the outside. The bathrooms are right next to the pickup area, and it was difficult to get through the crowd. Avoid this place until they figure their stuff out -- or just avoid it completely like I plan to do....
Read moreAs a Chicago transplant here 25+ years ago I rarely had the opportunity to enjoy Buona's wonderful beef sandwiches as we simply do not get back into the Chicago area often. Now that there is a new location in our backyard it has become our go-to place for a quick and delicious meal. We will split a Beef and Sausage protein bowl which omits the bread saving calories and the portion is enough for us both. We also enjoy the potato salad that follows their family recipe. In addition the hot dogs are delicious, as are the the fries. The grilled chicken sandwich is perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. It's a habit the Buonavolanto family has of offering great value as well as consistently great food. And I almost forgot to mention that the side salad is ginormous and the dressing is fantastic and does not contain high-fructose!! Thanks to the staff here and a special shout out to our new friend Theresa. She has a terrific level of energy, her demeanor is excellent and I might say she worries about each and every customers experience while maintaining a smile which is very much...
Read moreHave been twice now since opening and will not return. Overpriced trash food! Persons working the drive through couldn't get my order correct for the life of them, another person stepped in when we got to the window and she still didn't get it right, tried to not give us a drink and when we asked about our 3rd was looked as like we were stupid, I ordered a #2 meal, a plain spicy chicken meal, a plain chicken meal and a single cheese burger just the buger no meal with everything it normally comes with but tomatoes. The person rang up the entire order incorrectly, once I got my burger the only thing it had on it was a tomato, I had to take the burger home and add my toppings so by the time I got home it was a cold patty with a soggy bun and to top it off the burger patty wasn't even whole it was like 2 halfs of a patty pushed together with melted cheese on them. For $56 I could have eaten almost any other similar place and received better customer service and better food with my order most likely...
