** DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH ROACHES AND CRAPPY SERVICE ** Stayed here with family and my two dogs for two nights. We had room 9 and the room looked like it had been surface cleaned (if that because there was a roach infestation they were apparently unaware of). It quite literally looked like as if the room had been barely cleaned and just remade the bed because how do you miss ROACHES in your rooms and a fridge when you only have about 13 of them?? There was a dime on the ground underneath the table right in front of the couch that I had to kick twice for it to come up, so it has either been there a while in my eyes. Side table was dusty. My pillow cover was stained?? Luckily I had my own pillow case. There was an orange tinge around bottom sides of the walls, possibly from humidity but none of our other family members had this in their room that were closer to the front. We looked in the fridge and there were small roaches in the bottom of the fridge and one was still alive. I started to look further and there were a few small ones belly up really close to the fridge. The bathroom top light did not work nor any of the outside lights on the poles worked except the one closest to the office and ones at the very end, if you are in between that and miss the step coming down at night (like my mother did which is indeed hazardous) you are sure to take a tumble. During checkout day, my dad moved the desk and more little ones seemed to have came out from underneath. We were very disgusted by this and called the owner. She seemed to have a snarky tone herself until we let her know of the room having an infestation and that she would be there in a couple minutes, and we waited around for 30 minutes then decided to hand our key in because we had to be somewhere. This place is ran by the owner’s daughter who said the mom ran 3 hotels which is en we asked her at checkout if she was aware of the roach infestation in the room, she rudely said she was not, then we let her know and it definitely seemed like she could care less because she quite literally said “okay, what do you what do you want from me??” In an equally rude tone. She didn’t care that we didn’t have a good stay or that her rooms had a roach problem. This place is poorly ran by a family with a poor attitude and I see why it is so cheap. I suggest to find another place with a dock if you want to stay near the water.

I have some disagreement with what others have said but maybe it was just my room, I can’t say. The main light didn’t work when I arrived and I asked immediately about it being changed. It took them about 18 hours before it was actually changed, which was tough since I was trying to work remote. The door to outside needs a new weather strip. I put a towel in front of it in hopes of stopping any bugs from getting in. While it’s clear they probably remodeled a bit after Hurricane Harvey, a fresh paint job or just trim is needed throughout especially in the bathroom area. *see also worn seat*. There were stains on a couple towels so I didn’t use them, as well as the shower curtain. Unlike other photos for some reason my room didn’t have an actual desk, which is precisely why I had originally wanted to stay here with remote work. The bed was as stiff as sleeping on the floor. Pillows didn’t mesh well with the mattress either so I just ended up using my personal one. I don’t know who thought the beds were super comfy, but they weren’t in my room for that review! Front desk worker and woman who cleans rooms were nice and friendly. Be aware that the room isn’t soundproof and you’ll hear your neighbors as well as any outside commotion from late arrivals that could keep you up at night.

This place gave me mixed reviews when I was there. But let’s start off with the good things shall we? Good- the place was very modern despite of its old exterior outside. The beds were clean (minus the couch bed) and the bathroom was lovely. The room itself was made for people going out to the beach and back. I loved the design of the bathroom. Plus, a lovely view of the beach 10/10! Bad- If you want a place to stay, you have to make sure it’s cleaned right? Well…these people did the exact OPPOSITE of that. As my mother would say they “half-assed” their cleaning job. There were still dirty stains on the towels, no extra bedding for the couch bed, everywhere I step I stepped on sand in my own room. There also stains on the bedding and sheets as well. The ONLY rolling chair in my room did not roll like it was supposed to. Some places it was old, rusty, or crawling with cobwebs (thankfully no bugs) So if you want to book a place here in Rockport, TX two things: 1. Bring your own cleaning supplies 2. Or go to a different hotel where they’ll do their job :-)

Great location, uncomfortable stay and the worst customer service. I stayed during Thanksgiving for 3 nights. I'm not usually one to complain or even write a review but the room was just not comfortable. The heat didnt work in my room. With it being Thanksgiving after my first night, no one was in the office to talk to. Also there was no regular coffee in the room, just 5 packs of decaf. On the second day I went in to ask someone for coffee but they told me they only have decaf available. On my last night I went to the office again and asked for another blanket because my room was cold. The guy at the counter checked it out and said "yep it's definitely not working, I'll get you another blanket". He did offer to change my room at that point but since I was leaving in the morning and I had all of my stuff all over, so I just opted for the blanket. When speaking with them after my stay to let them know how things were the guy took down my info and said he would try and discount it. After a week no one followed up so I checked back in and was told because I "refused" to change my room and didn't tell them until the last night that it was my fault. The woman I spoke with was very accusatory and rude rather than trying to listen or resolve anything... Anyways if you decide to stay make sure to bring an extra blanket and your own coffee, but honestly I'd look somewhere else for a more comfortable stay if you're paying...
