Disappointing does not even begin to capture our experience with sleepnumber -- this company does everything in its power to avoid accountability. The return policies are egregious (including no mention of the final sale nature of the adjustable base. Our sales rep, Monica never mentioned it was non-refundable and we never signed an acknowledgement of the non-returnability of the product). My husband and I ordered an adjustable base and the split king mattresses. NONE of the products were delivered as promised -- the adjustable base was broken and each mattress was delivered defective (as verified by the techs that were sent to asses the products). To have not one item from an $8,000 order be delivered as promised is unacceptable and the insistence on continuing to stick with their products at our own expense was insulting.
The sales people (in our case Monica and Dustin) were each dodgy (avoiding calls and texts or insisting we had to communicate with customer service), customer service was next to impossible to get ahold of and when you were able to connect, they were dismissive (including a senior manager stating that he believed the techs that confirmed the mattresses were defective were incorrect in their assessment).

Read moreThough the staff was kind to us Don't ever think that you are going to return something at this store They charged us $500 It was terrible customer service please don't ever shop at the store completely unprofessional I was even willing to meet them halfway and pay 250 considering the fact that when they came to pick up our mattresses that we only had for a month because they were terrible glorified hospital beds glorified air mattresses... My husband carried them to the truck for the delivery man but the finance companies customer service representative just kept assuring me that they would not meet me halfway on this payment because that's just their policy and I needed to deal with it... I understand policies but there's such a thing as being a good company which they are not! Even worse I went and got a mattress somewhere else with the same finance company and those mattresses cost me $7,000... This company was willing to screw me on $500 over $7,000 that I told them again I would meet them halfway on or I was going to return my $7,000 mattress is because the point is just being kind to your customers is key Also the fact that again my husband carried the mattresses to the delivery van. If you're reading this thinking this story is outrageous you're...
Read moreWhen purchasing our mattress we asked our sales person how much it would cost to if we ended up not being satisfied and wanted to return it, the sales person said $150. So after a month with the bed my wife and I decided sleep number just wasn't for us and we went online and started the return process only to find that it would now cost $440 for us to return it. We contacted Customer Service, our salesperson just to be told "well you signed the papers". Our sales person tried to explain it as "well they charge u to pick the bed up and you had free delivery to your house that they charge you for now." Nice to know that while spending $3000 on a bed everyone at sleep number is very kind and respectful but once you're not a customer it goes out the door. We're still waiting to hear from customer services and management about why theyre taking an addition $300 from us but im sure as most coporations go ill hear nothing. Would never reccomend the company, the bed just wasn't for us. Fyi purple and puffy do free returns and donate the mattress to people in need if...
