My friends and I decided to eat here for the first time. I wish we hadn’t…we ordered the shared mix grill platter for my wife and I-$50, and falafel appetizer with french fries. My friends ordered 2 different kind of platters which was approx.$22 each. Alongside a side of falafel and french fries as well. We were extremely pleased with the appetizers, so much in fact that it made us excited and eager for the platters. Unfortunately we were completely shocked and disappointed because the platters remained untouched because they were beyond edible. The meat was not cooked all the way, there was still blood seeping out which we thought was probably , but when cutting into the meat there was visible blood and uncooked areas which not only was unappetizing but also left an unpleasant smell. The waiter apologized and bought the food back to the kitchen to have put on the grill once again and cooked to be well done. The second time around the meat was just simply unpleasant and did not taste good. It was as if the meat was spoiled or even expired. It tasted beyond horrific from just one bite. We told the waiter that we will not be eating the platters and that the meat was intolerable. After receiving the bill we were shocked to see that we were billed for all 3 platters even though the food remained untouched. We did not mention it because this was the first and last experience we will be having at this restaurant. It just felt unfair and disappointing to know that we left dissatisfied and hungry as paying customers without any apology from the chef especially as a first time experience for a large party of five. What’s done is done, just very disappointing and...

A nice addition to the often over franchised McKnight Road area food scene. I went with my family on a holiday Monday for breakfast, and was met with a clean yet lively dining area that appeared very clean and cared for. The service, though a touch slow due to a lack of waitstaff, was plesant and attentive.

The breakfast menu here focuses on a both classic American dishes, but also has many Turkish options. I opted for the Turkish side and got the Kavurmalı Yumurta, which is scorched eggs (akin to sunny side up) on top of pleasantly fatty lamb meat and grilled onions (with french style bread on the side). The dish was hearty and very well seasoned, and I also added some grilled mushrooms, which made the dish even more hearty and pleasant.

My wife and kids had variations of pancakes, and my daughter loved her choice, which came with Nutella, sliced bananas and sliced strawberries that were layered within the pancakes. My wife got a pancake platter so that my son could eat a smaller portion, and it came with boiled and seasoned potatoes (which were very tasty), sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh blueberries and strawberries and a side of Nutella. It also came with some of the better bacon I have ever had at any breakfast place.

Overall, the food was very good, even if it was a little on the pricy side comparable to other area offerings. I will definitely try to make it back to try some more intriguing options, and have more of the...

A FOODIE’S DELIGHTFUL TURKISH LUNCH/DINNER🤩🤩🤩. The main menu is largely Turkish and very authentic.

*Though not to be mistaken representation of the very varied cuisines of the wider Mediterranean region as the name of the place might suggest.

*And should not be confused with the Mediterranean diet.

The selections of “Homemade Traditional” give a lovely glimpse of true Turkish cooking. 😎😎😎

🤩🤩🤩 TOP ENTREE RECOMMENDATIONS:

**Coban Kavurma. A most delightful casserole of tender chunks of grilled lamb in a silken tomato base sauce with veggies and potatoes: Subtle fragrance and flavors of middle eastern spices (like a whiff of za’atar), and great textures.🙃🙃🙃

**There’s also the Sultan Delight: a lovely beef stew served on a purée of grilled eggplant.👌👌👌

🤩🤩🤩 TOP APPETIZERS RECOMMENDATIONS: **Baba Ghanouz: silken mashed smoked eggplant with yogurt and tahini. Simply lovely.

**Sauced Eggplant: The best aubergine appetizer I’ve ever had😎😎😎. Slices of grilled aubergines, not the usual slightly bitter big eggplants, in a thin onion-garlic tomato sauce.

For the big carnivores, the menu has a largish selection of kebabs and gyros👌👌👌. These meats also served in the salad selections.

For the bread/pizza enthusiasts, there’s a section of Pides and Lachmun👏👏👏.

Service is very good. The owner/proprietor is very lovely hospitable who herself serves food directly from the kitchen 👏👏👏.

The place itself is a cozy but very pleasant well-lit...

We went for brunch and found the menu had a huge amount of variety, and to be fair as we had kids with us this was part of the reason we went, however the menu was a bit all over the place. The adults got Mediterranean style food and we were fairly happy with that, however the kids got more traditional breakfast and were nonplused. The environment was a little chaotic with a ten minute wait for a table and a single waitress trying to handle a dozen tables or so. At some point before we arrived the women's restroom toilet had overflowed and there was no sign up indicating a wet floor or marking the bathroom out of use, I'm not sure if it was fixed before we left, and felt a little unsanitary as the bathroom is not very far from the tables. The location appeared to have been a garage at one point that was converted to a restaurant and someone has an eye for design and made it look a lot better, but all the decorations were also quite cheap. It would have gone a long way of the flowers weren't plastic and everything didn't come off so cheap. Overall we weren't very impressed.
