It's a smaller place. Set up similar to a Chipotle in that you order at a register then wait for your food. If dining in, they'll bring it to your table. There is limited outside seating as well. One really bad negative. They need to get their HVAC guy in ASAP to insulate their duct or pump in more AC. It was humid inside and it was condensing in the cold AC duct hanging from the ceiling. As a result, 1 set of tables were unusable because it was being soaked by dripping condensation and there were towels all over the floor following the duct in the ceiling so you didn't slip in the concrete floor. That's why I had to take stars away. It's unsightly to have dirty towels all over and who wants to be dripped in while waiting or at a table? They claim to have a Los Angeles vibe. Having been born and raised in LA and on Mexican food I'll say this: it's close. I had both the Dino Bowl (essentially a chicken salad) and a Pollo (chicken) taco. The taco was perfect. I'd agree it's as close to a taqueria as you'll get here. Corn tortillas are the right texture and soft. Really flavorful. The Dino Bowl was good with one exception as opposed to LA. The guacamole here tastes and looks fake. It's an odd shade of green. It's not bad, but it seems like it's bought from afiid service premade. It doesn't look at all like fresh quac should with chunky avocado, lemon or lime, onion, garlic, cilantro and salt. Overall, this is a pretty good place. It's essentially all tacos though just so you're aware. You won't find enchiladas, tamales or the like here. Tacos are about $3.50 each.

Stopped here for lunch, per my 15 year olds request as she wanted to try a new restaurant. There’s a small parking lot, but we got in at a good time and found parking and had about a 5 minute wait in line to order. There was several different taco options offered on the menu and some other types of food (quesadillas, chips and dip). I did notice when we first walked in that the music was a little loud, louder than I’d like it to be. There was indoor and outdoor seating. You placed an order at the counter upon entering and then they delivered the food to your table. We tried the Americano, special of the day (brisket), carnitas, and kids quesadilla. Some of the food was placed at the counter and I had placed an order to go and asked for the food to be separated so it was good for travel. I did ask in advance if the food could be Separated for travel and they confirmed. The food we order and ate at the restaurant was good. I ordered two tacos with a side of chips and salsa for $10. I think the value for the amount of food was good. The food we took home was good, but the tortilla was the only thing separated so the food had to be warmed with lettuce and sour cream on it (not our preference, but we made do). I would def go back and try other items on the menu or get the same thing I ordered the first time.

1st time here for my wife and I. We love authentic Mexican food and fortunately we met a couple who were leaving the restaurant as we were coming into the parking area who gave us a minute of their time to answer some questions and give their opinions. We love the competition restaurant down the street and we have one in our local area as well. That said we decided to try something new and different so we went in and ordered. We had various tacos, chips and queso, and the beans. Everything had good flavor and we got the corn tortillas which were good also. Overall, we felt it was good food, but not great food. The other things I noticed that also factored into the 3 stars were the overall uncleanness of the entire front of house and bathroom areas. Windows next to our seats were smeared with child finger and handprints. Condiment bottles looked like they're never wiped down nor the napkin holders. Reaching for a napkin to wipe my mouth was scary! Food remained on the table and chairs left behind from previous customers! Overall... Had i known ahead of ordering we would have left but you have to order first. DIRTY PLACE... SORRY WON'T BE RETURNING AND/OR REFERRING ANYONE.

Our experiences at Doce Taqueria have been a mixed bag over the years we’ve lived in North Hills. We were really impressed after our first few visits, both by the quality and price of the tacos, to the point where we stopped going to other taco restaurants in the area.

However, our last few take out orders have been messed up in some way, from tacos with the wrong toppings to box deals with completely different/wrong tacos inside. Not a huge deal for me, I eat anything, but my spouse orders a particular way and often can’t eat the tacos when they’re messed up.

We just ordered takeout today. I went inside and was given the bag, but made sure to open the box for my wife to get her OK. The tacos were good, but we were missing chips and queso. No big deal, we went inside and they were happy to hand over a bag.

Brought the food home. The carnitas were really nice and juicy, and the fish was tender and not fishy. However, I think they recently switched providers for their guacamole because the quac I received was a dullish green gray and smooth — no actual chunks of fresh avocado — and tasted absolutely rancid. Not edible. On top of that, we found a piece of a plastic wrapper curled up in our cup of queso.

Unfortunately, this will be our last visit for a while. Maybe these few orders were just flukes but if we’re spending $35 on a meal and we’re constantly getting wrong orders and bad food, we’ll go to one of the other taco spots...

Food was decent but the girl working the register should find herself another career if she can’t be bothered to do her job. While I was waiting for my food I decided that I wanted a margarita too. It wasn’t until after she charged me for the drink that she mentioned it would be a wait. I told her that I didn’t mind thinking it would be 10 or so minutes. I finished my meal and after waiting for over 30 minutes still no drinks. I approached her twice because it was clear to me that even if my drink was ready she couldn’t be bothered to let me know. I was just waiting there, no updates, nothing.. I was over the wait and asked for a refund. Before I could finish my sentence she cut me off and said they still weren’t ready. I expressed to her again that I just wanted my money back. She is just so quirky 🤪 she giggled and said that if I waited another two minutes they would be ready. Again, I said no I just wanted my refund. She turned around, grabbed a cup, and said, “well, you already paid for it”. I had to tell her a fourth time that I wanted my money back. When she didn’t feel like dealing with me anymore she passed me off to someone else who wasn’t quite sure how to issue the refund. A third man came over who eventually just gave me a cash refund. Again, if you don’t want to be there then don’t be. Don’t make your shortcomings everyone...
