I enjoyed my stay here. Be aware of charges on your credit card, from this Fairfield Inn location, that I have not encountered from other Fairfield Inns during my travels across country. Using her rewards points, my daughter made me reservations for one night. At checkout, I requested and received a receipt, showing a zero balance. That afternoon, after I arrived home, I was reviewing my credit card charges and noticed a charge for $30.00 and another charge for $20.00 from this Fairfield Inn. I called and spoke with a nice young lady by the name of Kimberly. I questioned the charges and was told that the $30.00 was a security deposit, which I understand. I was also told that the $20.00 was a miscellaneous fee deposit that I did not understand. I asked when my card would be credited for these 2 fees and was told it would be 1 to 2 weeks. I explained that during my travels across county, I usually reserve a room at either Fairfield Inn or The Marriott and security deposits are usually credited within a couple of days, not 1 to 2 weeks, which is not acceptable. I still didn't understand what the miscellaneous deposit was for and I have never been charged this fee before either. I guess that I will be in contact with Fairfield Inn by Marriott and try to have my card credited in a timely manner. I have always enjoyed my stay at both Fairfield Inn and The Marriott and I will continue to use both, however I will be more cautious to question any extraneous charges...
Read moreMy husband and I attended the Fairfield Inn with another couple this fall. I cannot say enough about the Manager, Evelyn McFarland and her night manager Braden. We were in the hotel about 20 minutes and as I was leaving the room, I tripped over the door entrance and at a pretty good speed, literary hit the door across the hall. I needed some assistants and two other guest appeared to see what was happening. They informed the desk manager, before I knew it, Braden was by my side and told me he had called the manager and she was on her way to check on me. I ended up in the emergence room at the hospital to take care of my head injury. Precursor of why I am writing this. I cannot tell you how much Mrs. McFarland and Bryan took care of my needs. This has to the best hotel I have ever attended. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic with the choices they provided in the morning. The rooms and facilities were spotless. The cleaning staff were friendly and happy to meets your every needs. They always had fresh cookies and coffee during the day when you entered the building. All the people that worked there were pleasant to be around. Do I need to say more? If you are in the area I highly recommend using the facility. If and when I am in the area again, I know where I where I will be...
Read moreMost disappointing stay at a Marriott property to date... I booked a King suite for the night, driving home to Colorado from Florida and needed a good night sleep. The room was dingy and musty, and the carpet and floor in the Bathroom was dirty (almost felt like sandy on floor). The worst part however was the 6am wake-up call by the men working on replacing the front awning right outside my room. When I realized the awning covering the car park that was being rebuilt was right outside my room window, I called the front desk and asked to be switched to a different room. Explaining that I was on a long road trip and did not want to be woken early, to get a good night sleep, I was assured by the Front Desk worker that they would NOT be starting work until at least 9/9:30 as they wanted to honor their guest's rest. But what am I awakened by just a little after 6am? Banging of Plywood and 2x4's on the awning, and impact drills, connecting them to the metal beams. Lovely. This hotel definitely doesn't reflect the experiences I've had with Marriott, and their dealing with their quests expectations for rest and recovery. Terrible communication and experience all the way around. Stay at the Hampton...
