Best Western Inn — Hotel in Russellville

Bed bugs are real here. I worked for a pest control company and know the signs and bites. My daughter came home from school trip two weeks ago with three bites. We took precautions in her room but once I let her sleep in her bed again she was bitten 9 times in a straight line. I notified hotel and they were nice and would have it inspected. But reading the other reviews it sounds like they are trying to convince us and themselves that it is just gnats! Room 217 brought the nasty things to my house. Luckily we kept it confined and got on it quickly so not to ingest our entire home. The cheap price of a hotel room doesn’t save if you have to spend hundreds and thousands to get rid of critters they have and send home with us. I was hopeful once I spoke to them that they would be proactive on this but after reading these reviews it seems they want to believe it is gnats. Really? I don’t want to spend the hundreds of dollars either but you have to if you want to stay open! This is terrible and I don’t want it to happen to another customer!

In response to owner comment..... I gave the benefit of the doubt and waited until I was certain it was bed bugs before jumping to conclusions. I had not one but two pest control companies come out and inspect to verify it is bed bugs. What is your inspection team made of? Is it hotel staff or a pest control expert? My child has not slept over anywhere other than her stay at your hotel. It has been 2 weeks and the bedbugs are only in her room and not the rest of the house. We have not traveled in several months and if it would have been the last time we traveled we would have been infested! What upset me was the clerk who I spoke to was very nice but suggested strongly several times that it had to be gnats and not bed bugs. When I saw that mentioned in another review I felt I needed to inform the public and probably now the health department unless you want to post where your pest control company and not hotel staff inspected and found no signs. You cannot convince innocent people that it is gnats! If I had not had experience professionally with bedbugs then I could have been put off and convinced otherwise and then when we are infested then I would have a chance of being able to pinpoint where it specifically had to come from. I feel the need to call Health Department unless I see a clean bill of health from a reputable pest control company. I am using Pest Detective in Conway. They will come out free to inspect and I challenge you...

We arrived in the late afternoon. First let me say the girl behind the desk was great and could ntot have been more helpful . The room smelled musty and the dead bolt did not function properly. Flies were a problem. We had been out all day soi went to have a shower. Went to grab what i thought was the shampoo it was lotion(m … not their fault….however the cap was visibly soiled withwhat appearedto be dried dark brown substance. Brought it to reception she replacef it immediately. I went back in the bathroom and prepared to take my shower hower when i turned to grab a towel i noted what appeared to be feces droplets on the lower wall to the left side of the side wall next to toilet. I went back and requested some gloves, paper towels and lydol. She was so apologetic and moved us right away. The second room was clean but shower didn’t function properly. I stayed here a year ago and the hotel was no longer corporate owned. The new owners made a effort, but fell short where Best Western corporate would have made it right. the Gideons place Bibles at most hotels and chains. Best Western welcomes this, but not the new owners of this location. I made a reservation and at last minute was canceled because I spoke the truth and that is that these owners, dislike Veterans, Christians, and anyone who makes a comment they dislike. Look out for the twice or three times warmed breakfast, and check the dates on any perishable food items before consuming.
