He ordered their steak which listed T-bone steak, Rice, beans, salad. I ordered their grilled shrimp, chicken, beef, shrimp, onions, peppers, etc ,tortillas. She asked if I wanted tortillas. I said yes it is listed and how would I eat this without tortillas. We had to ask our tall blonde waitress for extra hot sauce. She delivered the food and he asked about his salad. She said it doesn’t come with a salad. He said yes it did. She said again it doesn’t come with a salad. I looked the menu up Online and sure enough it listed a salad. He called another staff member over and asked about the salad. We were told you have to ask for it??? Why is it listed, yet requires you are required to ask for it(of course the waitress still said it wasn’t included). He apologized and agreed to give him a small discount at checkout. When we went to check out the lady told both of us no discount because you have to ask for it. I explained he asked for it two times. She just kept saying it didn’t matter. I said rice and beans were also listed, but didn’t require us asking to get them. Why is a salad or tortillas included in the listing, but not included unless you ask for it. Who would know to ask about every item listed to make sure it is actually included. She finally gave him a $1.00 discount. Wow and the attitude of the two female employees was rude. My food was wonderful, but the attitude and the requirements of each guests to request to receive a listed item and then bold face lie about it, is so...
Read moreUpdated review: Decided to give them a try today. Went in a 220 and ordered off the lunch menu. Waiter was okay, but he forgot part of my food and never brought it, even though I asked twice (and it was a big part, my beans and rice). When we went to leave we were charged $50 for two sodas and 2 under-$10 lunch specials. They said that because we checked after 3 (by minutes) that we weren't eligible for lunch prices, even tho we ordered and ate before the lunch ended (we were waiting on our ticket, which never actually came, or we'd have been out before 3). Refused to budge on the price and charged us dinner prices for lunch sized portions. Won't be back, which was sad because the food was so good.
Original review: This place was okay. Plenty of parking--the parking lot was pretty flooded but it wasn't impassable. We were seated immediately and the staff were friendly. They were out of some of the drink options, and 4 of the 5 of us ordered our drinks without ice but they all came with ice. The salsa and chips were good but they only brought 2 salsas for the big table--we asked for more from 2 different people but never got them. Our food came very quickly: almost too quickly. I ordered fajitas, but they brought the meat out 5 minutes before anything else and so it was cold by the time I got my beans/rice and tortillas. My daughter liked the quesadilla but said her beans were cold. We will probably be back and will re-rate but for now this place...
Read moreGuy with the acne scars, I don't know if he was manager, was EXTREMELY RUDE to us. Same with our server. The margaritas tasted absolutely horrible, worst I've had in my life. We didn't drink them. Food was bad. Chicken tasted like it was from a can at the dollar store. Actually, every thing tasted like it was from a can. The fans were blowing so hard, it made my hair fly all over. We told him to turn he down, he replied, "JUST GIVE ME A SECOND." RUDELY. 100% NOT AUTHENTIC. RUDE MANAGER AND SERVER. Server over charged us, we told her that, she said, "if I put it in this way, then it's cheaper." I told her to put it a la carte like I ordered and it was $5 cheaper. Lol. Trying to pull a fast one. No tip 4 u. I will steer clear of LA Herta Chains, full of dollar store food. I don't believe the other reviews, if they want authentic, go eat Mexican in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. There you find...
