Did what it was supposed to, but that's about it. Was surprised to find that despite staying there, I'd have to pay to charge my car if overnight. Unusual for any place I've stayed at. I was able to pay $5 instead of $10 as I said it'd only be for part of the night. The room itself definitely needed some work. There was a strong pungent smell as well as 5-10 ants at different times on the desk by the mini fridge as well as a chair that was stained to the point that I opted not to sit in it. And light out in desk spot. Location is good as far as heading up to Ozark forest, but that would probably be best thing here. Despite payment of charger and room issues, front desk was nice and I'm sure they would've helped relocate had I asked. The issue was that I quickly settled into the room and noticed these things after the fact, and figured one night wasn't worth it uprooting to another room.

Super 8 - Russellville The hotel wasn’t bad, although, staff customer service could improve. When I checked-in and went up to my room, it smelled really bad. A combination of smoke and cleaning supplies. When I went downstairs to ask for a different room and explained my reasoning, the Indian lady at the desk proceeded to argue with me and didn’t believe me. She ended up giving me a room on second floor, by the stairs, but with attitude and slammed the room key on the counter. The second room smelled fresher without any odors. The room was comfortable. Bathroom was good too. The only other thing I’d mention is if you’re staying on first or second floor near the lobby area, you will hear a door bell, every time someone comes in and out. Otherwise, the hotel was good and location was good for places to do and eat near by, including a Starbucks walking distance.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Seriously the health department needs to be called on this place. I am a gold member of whyndam. This is how I was treated. I got a free room with my points. After not knowing about a $50 CASH deposit upon arrival, I get to the room. The room smelled musty, it was absolutely 💯 filthy. The red chair in the room was half black from grease and dirt. The leg was broken..you couldn't even sur in it. The fridge had rust all over it. Now let's get to the bed I was supposed to sleep in. There was so many holes in the blanket . On one part of the blanket there was just mesh .....no blanket. There was black, what appeared to be mold , all through the sheets. The dust ruffle was stained..bad. the cleanly of this place is absolutely horrific. Please don't stay..and don't take kids.

Short Version: IF you use this location then pay with CASH, do not let them handle your card in any way!

Detailed Version: While traveling to see one of her nephews graduate High School my wife (who was traveling with our two kids) made the mistake of stopping at this hotel after a long day of traveling on a Thursday. Meanwhile, at our home the following morning I got up for the day and checked our banking account. When I did so I noticed 2 charges for $85.51 to this Super 8. I immediately called the hotel and spoke to a gentleman who explained that because my wife checked-in so late their system thought she was checking-in for 2 days and charged her for 2 nights. The gentleman explained that she would only be charged for 1 night and that the other charge would fall off. I text my wife this information but asked her to verify the info. at check-out and to keep her receipt. At check-out she was told that the charge would fall off that evening (Friday evening.)

Saturday morning I get up to see that we still have two pending charges from the Russellville Super 8 for $85.51. At this point my wife is well into the Midwest, I'm deep in the South, and this hotel in Arkansas (in between the 2 of us) is holding a portion of our money hostage because of a flawed system. Additionally, we were given bad information about the flawed system that this hotel uses. Upon seeing that the 2nd charge was still pending on our account I again called the hotel; this time I explained my situation to a lady and she offered to research the problem and get back with me. A bit latter she (to her credit) called me back and explained to me that because my wife used a debit card to pay, and not a credit card, then the 2nd charge would not fall off until the following Monday.

I expressed my exasperation that 85 dollars of our money was now tied-up and unusable for that trip because of the hotel's mistake. The lady apologized but said that there was nothing that she could do until her supervisor returned on Monday.

I am appalled to say the least. To know about a flawed system and not to fix it is ridiculous, to not fix it AND to not even instruct staff how to work around the flaw is even more ridiculous; and to tell travelers (some of whom may be operating on a tight budget and need every dollar that they have,) tough-luck and that there's just nothing that can be done is reprehensible and extremely poor customer service. In short: they have their money, and part of your money, and they couldn't care less about when you get your money back.

There was no offer to charge my wife for 2 nights and then refund her cash for the 1 night over-charged. There was no offer to call the card-processor to explore options. There was no offer of a free/reduced night. Those are just a few reasonable options that I could come up with in a matter of seconds, but this hotel, who obviously knows about the issue can't come up with a solution in all the time that they've known about it.

There are enough things to worry about when your family is on a trip, but the last thing you expect is for one of those things to be a hotel freezing a portion of your money for the duration of that trip. ...

This place was terrible. If you enjoy a horrible smell and not one- but TWO sets of dirty sheets- stay here! I will say the front desk girl seemed nice but was not helpful. What type of hotel doesn’t have clean sheets on hand at all times? We booked through Priceline pricebreakers. 3 hotels were listed and all had an average 8 rating. This was a 4 at best.

We walked into the hotel and immediately noticed a very strong mildew and smoke smell. I noticed it didn’t seem very clean, but it was late so we were willing to give it a chance. We got to our room, pulled back the blanket to see a huge black stain (and smaller stains) on the top sheet. I went back down stairs to ask for clean sheets. Front desk informed me they were out. She also stated it would be an hour before they would be finished in the wash. I tried to be understanding and said okay we would wait. She then called my room and asked for us to strip the bed and bring the dirty ones down stairs when we came to get the clean ones. I felt this was very unprofessional, but agreed. I’m not a Karen and try to be understanding but… As I went to pull those sheets off the bed I noticed there was a second set under those and there was a HUGE URINE stain. At this point we did not care to stay there any longer. What type of place keeps multiple sets of [dirty] sheets on one bed?? Unfortunately, I booked through Priceline (never again!) and upon contacting them found there was nothing they could do to remedy this situation. The front desk offered a new room but if our currently room was so dirty- I didn’t feel like a second room would be any better. Pay the extra and to stay at Days Inn. Wonderful staff and clean rooms right...

Checked in late after 14 hours on the road. Accidentally booked a smoking room, girl working there said she couldn't switch it. Charged us 20 dollars extra for 2 cats. She told me she overcharged me and can't fix it, but I can come back and talk to the manager in the morning. Checked us in to a really smelly smoking room and we let our cats out. 15 minutes later, she told us we had to take our room. Amazingly, it was a non-smoking room. We noticed the shower was very dirty and there were spots of... something on the floor, but we were tired and we just went to sleep. In the morning, when I went to talk to the manager, he started off defensive before I even said anything. But then I said "the girl at the front desk said she made a mistake." But then he said "there's no mistake, we charged you $20 for the cats. But then I said "she said to come talk to you about the mistake". But then he said "there's no mistake, you booked through a third party booking company." When I went to look at my credit card account, there were 4 HOLDS for the amount of the hotel all within a minute of each other. (He seemed to know about this mistake before I did.) The problem I had is not with the fact that a mistake may have happened, it was with the way that the man was disrespectful and told me i did not understand what was going on. All I wanted was an explanation as to why it was out...
