The first thing I'd like to point out is if you're thinking of staying here overnight or even for a few nights, consider other nearby options first. I booked a single night here because by favorite hotel nearby was sold out so I decided to give this place a try since I would be in the Clearwater area the next day. Here is my experience a follows: Staff = ??? There was only one person there when I checked in. I don't really have any complaints other than during the check in, some guy walked in asking for mail and packages ( and he was not a mail or package carrier )and the lady checking me in just decided drop the check in process with me to look for mail and packages for this guy instead of completing the check in. Way to make someone's business with the hotel feel valued. I guess the delay was life's little way of saying " You're really not missing anything here". Also after she took my card and ID, another guest who had been staying there stopped by the front desk and complained that her room was very dirty when she checked in. She wasn't very happy about it either. That should have been my Q......At check out, there were suppose to be hot coffee and muffins served. I didn't see that at all. The only thing I saw was a basket with a few cereal bars in them that looked like some one had threw them on the floor, stomped them to oblivion and put them back into the basket.....There was not even the smell of coffee brewing. Cleanliness = FAIL The counter tops has small bugs crawling around on top of it. The bathroom sink was dirty, and looked melted, deformed, and was not cleaned fully. (See Pictures) There was hair on the sink top. The table and counter in the room had sticky smears on them, the carpet had bits and pieces of food, small paper bits and small rock like objects in it. There were lots of markings and dents on the walls too as if the guests staying there just didn't give a damn about not damaging anything. Comfort = FAIL Comfort is very big for me as I'm sure it is for everyone else. A good night's sleep, or not, can make all the difference in how you'll wake up or should I say stay awake all night. Most hotels have pillow top mattresses that make getting rest so much better. The bed in my room felt like I was laying on solid cinder blocks with only a comforter on top. Very UNCOMFORTABLE. I was tossing and turning all night and didn't get any sleep and got up with back aches. Noise = FAIL Noise is another concern as well too. I hate a noisy hotel as i'm sure everyone else does too...except the people making the noise. All evening, I heard bark after bark after bark of large and small dogs, children crying, and yelling adults. The people staying here are very noisy and inconsiderate of others. They just don't care. Functionality = FAIL The toilet was backed up from the beginning. I went in to use the bathroom and flushed and it just overflowed. Apparently, the previous guest clogged it and said nothing to the staff about it. The shower had such low pressure it was unbelievable. It felt like I was in that episode of Seinfeld where all the apartment shower heads were changed and nobody could get soap out of their hair and could no longer function as their normal selves. Verdict = Avoid if you value cleanliness, comfort, functionality, & low noise. I cannot speak for everyone because if you read some reviews, there are some people who are satisfied with such a place. NOT ME. I more than likely won't return to do business with this hotel or at least at this location. I felt I wasted my funds on a very poor experience and thought it would be important to share it with the public so hopefully you won't waste yours. For the price, you can get better options just about 50 yards away.

I did not want to leave this review. Part of my current career is "Hotel GM." When I reported the room was filthy, I wanted to give them a chance to correct it. Unmopped floors, stained bedding, hair all over the door, gross everywhere. Extended Stay America is a brand which requires some standard. I operate an extended stay. I know the clientele can be troublesome, yet an Extended Stay America should uphold internal quality control even with subpar linen and second hand furniture. The exhausted front desk staff wouldn't survive at our property. The shameful arrogance spewing from front desk answered exactly why we had to leave and go next door. I've only learned from reading reviews which of the staff members is GM. I would suggest significant additional training for this individual. The thing is, the Extended Stay America room wasn't cheap. Of course we paid more for the neighboring Courtyard by Marriott 3-4 star which provided 10/10 quality and service. For one night, the percentage spread doesn't wash when the ESA lobby smells like pot and pubes are at eye level on the bathroom door. As I tell my staff constantly: "We will pay the hours necessary for a sanitary hotel." No hotel, of any class, should have "gross" results from a review. Sanitation is achievable in any environment, not doors and floors full of hair and rat droppings in clothing drawers. This property is a sorrowful, unmanaged embarrassment to its franchise flag. The GM should be personally ashamed of not overseeing his operation's departments and particulars. Please, do not reward this hovel with your dollars.

Thank you for my 2 week stay at your hotel. Thank you so much Jessica for watching out for my driver's license to arrive in the mail and for calling me to tell me it was safe with you. You are so sweet and kind. I did try to extend my stay but FEMA would not let me. My dogs enjoyed the space outside to be in. The coffee & breakfast treats you had for us every day was delicious. Thank you also to Anthony, he made special friends with my sweet furbaby Stuie. I was recently diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer to my spine and pelvis & I am displaced still from Milton hurricane. Anthony is the perfect choice for Stuie new owner as I eventually have to give him up cuz of my health . Stuie loved Anthony, Anthony was very gentle and sweet with Stuie. I was disappointed that the guests trash the grounds with trash, cigarette butts, dog messes inside & it was not cleaned up because it is a beautiful area with other well known hotel chains, nice businesses & stores mingled in. I was approached by manager at my door as I was 15 minutes late checking out. I appreciated the gentleman that came back to help me out with the cart with my belongings, I was very sick and weak so I greatly appreciated your help. Thank you again for your service. God bless. ✌🏼

i traveled from Indiana to St Pete-Clearwater with my children and stayed at your Clearwater Property on Executive Dr. This property is horrible I’m not sure if this is how you guys run your properties or what. There is absolutely NO ROOM SERVICE WHAT SO EVER! There is cockroaches everything is rusted and/or broken. The room smells like MOLD AND MILDEW it’s so dry and muggy, my baby has asthma every single night we have been here I’ve had to give her a treatment. I was a afraid to request another room because i heard someone in the lobby say something about bed bugs we did not feel bugs in the bed however there’s roaches on the walls in the bathroom. The toilet stopped up and flooded the manager Marie told me we had to unclog it myself after saying i don’t know how she never sent anyone to unclog the toilet we left and went to the beach came back the bathroom smelled horrible on top of the mildew mold smell it was absolutely horrible. Being a visitor i did not want to cause any conflict because i have no other place to stay here i am far away from home. My daughter went down to the lobby to get towels and toilet paper Marie told her we were supposed to clean the flood up with the towels and bring them back down. I am on vacation that is totally unacceptable I’ve never been in a hotel and had to do anything like that. I don’t know if you guys are just totally different from hotels or what but this is totally unacceptable. I hate that i have to even write this because i am not a complainer i hate to do it. But i feel very disrespected by your property. I called down to the lobby once my daughter told me what was said and asked her she said that is not what she said i know my baby is not lying because NOBODY CAME TO CLEAN THE BATHROOM SO RATHER SHE SAID IT OR NOT THATS OBVIOUSLY WHAT SHE MEANT OR EXPECTED. I REPORTED THE TOLIET INCIDENT 12 pm ON 4-12-2019 HOUSE KEEPING DID NOT COME UNTIL 10am 4-13-2019. There is also drug addicts or drug users staying her when we arrived the guy riding the elevator with us was nodding. When i called to the front desk i was very upset asked to speak with a Manager and never received information on how to...

When we arrived a little bit early, the front desk said the room was ready gave us the key, but we went to the room. It was still not ready so we went shopping and came back to 2 hours later, It still wasn’t ready, but it wasn’t too long after that that the girls left around 4:30 for our 3pm check in. When they left, the room was filthy, dirty I mean really filthy dirty. I asked for a mop and some cleaning products so I could even clean it myself, and the front desk kept telling me it was coming, but it never arrived ||The pool was closed it had been condemned by the city, which we should’ve been informed of this at check-in. ||The efficiency units didn’t have dishes or utensils, and then we had to ask at the front desk and they handed them out like they were gold only one at a time. The laundry facilities were $3 for a wash and $3 for a dryer and they were not clean the things I put in there I was afraid that they were cleaner. I cleaned them out the best I could. The unit itself the toilet didn’t flush my husband had did some plumbing work on the toilet. Only 1 element on the stove worked, the coffee maker didn’t work. This is a very noisy place people walk around and smoke outside and talk and laugh at all hours of the night, there they seem to be a lot of people that just live there they were also smoking pot. You can’t miss that smell. The roof was also being replaced so the construction people had all the parking spots barricaded off even the handicap they were banging the roof from early in the morning till about 530 at night. I know it has to be done but we should’ve been notified of that.||The front desk closes at 7pm and there’s a fine $10 if you need to get a hold of anyone after 7 o’clock?? There is no phones in the rooms if there was an emergency ‼️ ||I’m sure this hotel doesn’t comply with Florida health and safety standards||We would’ve left. Unfortunately, we really had nowhere else to go on such...
