We stopped in last night and to our surprise it was no longer Anitico Fornaio, what a bummer. I was hungry so figured we’d give this a try. $90 for subpar food is disappointing, I did like the updated atmosphere w/ linens and twinkling lights. Our server was busy w/ a couple other tables so it took a while in between visits, the manager was checking in, he could’ve offered to help him instead of mindlessly walking around, moving chairs at tables. I digress, I ordered a house wine $10, it was drinkable and he had a house “Italian” beer $7.50. Server brought over thin, warm ish day old grocery store bread served w/ their chunky, zesty marinara, I personally raved about the sauce as it reminded me of a restaurant growing up. Burrata appetizer was fresh, light and tasty. Cacio e Pepe was a letdown as it was super rich and heavy, grainy w/o enough pasta water to make a light, smooth sauce and less pecorino romano.
